I had to stop and ask what’s going on here. He works for Santa Clara county to do gas station leak checks. Cybertruck saves him $30K in fuel costs per year versus a standard utility truck. And he loves the 110V plug in back instead of hauling a generator.

Tesla Cybertruck Cybertruck owners uses it to perform gas station leak checks, saving him $30K in fuel costs per year Gy0VjISbEAE3EWI

If he is saving $30k in fuel costs in a year, the savings on other maintenance(oil changes etc) and time spent on that maintenance and time wasted fueling an ICE truck probably add another 10-15% on top of that.

$30k a year in annual fuel costs is crazy high.
I question his calculations...Is he ignoring the electric needed to charge the truck? Figuring $2.80 a gallon and 10 MPG, very conservatively, $30,000 means he drives 100,000 miles a year?

EIA shows CA gasoline prices being over $4/gallon.

He also indicated the need for a generator, which he no longer requires thanks to Powershare. I'm sure that was included in the fuel costs.

$2.80 a gallon?
Come see us in CA where people pay over $5.00 a gallon. Where I live in So Cal. Tesla's seem like they are nearly 50% of the cars on the roads.
