4mi/kWh in my FS AWD - Trying to figure out how to do this again?

Ok, help!
When someone asks me what is average cost per mile in electricity used and we pay .15 per kw
How to I figure that out from vehicle numbers? Home costs here were just raised to .15 per kw and super charging average here is .36

Roger that on the cost of electricity, Ken. I suppose how you look at all this depends upon what one's priorities are.

For me, the EV experience isn't about saving money because electricity costs are less than comparative ICE costs would be. And it's not about trying to maximize that cost advantage.

For me, it's about the magnificent driving experience first and foremost. And secondarily the hope that my EV's will prove to be very reliable, long-lasting vehicles. I've owned two 300K+ ICE vehicles... and so those are my measures.

Like anyone, I much prefer an electric bill on the low end. But I confess to being pretty free and easy with those electrons coming out of the wall if I think it will help my EV's last longer. We're in the midst of a sharp cold wave here in the mid-Atlantic right now, for instance. Temps in the teens (F). I was more than happy to turn Climate on a full hour before I took the CT out for a drive today. Not for cabin comfort - that took all of five minutes. But for the pack.

I obviously wouldn't do that if I was terribly worried about electric consumption.

My main truck I use has always been a H2 that averages 12 mpg. I have 3 main vehicles and prefer driving trucks due to height, visibility and fun. The Tesla is at a fun level of 3.5. My wife won’t get out of it. Cannot say anything negative. I’m in areas where I meet a lot of people from all over the world so the question always comes up, what does it cost per mile for fuel/energy costs. If my inaccurate assessment it was about 17 cents a mile. In the formula given above I was way off! It’s not the cost it’s me being able to answer those questions accurately. We put about 40,000 combined miles a year on our vehicles and this Tesla truck makes me smile every time I get in. There are 3 new ones this month within a mile of me. They are rapidly filling up driveways here.

Look on your App at charging stats. It has month and Year. If you have had your CT for less than a year, the year setting will tell you your total cost for charging. Just divide cost into your total miles, and that will tell you how many miles per dollar. My Model Y did 8,200 miles in the first year for a total cost (including supercharging) of $812. So it was roughly 10 miles per dollar, or about 10cents per mile.

After arriving home from a day of driving and supercharging the screen on my FS AWD showed 4mi/kWh for the last short trip from the supercharger to home. I remember driving slow/easy, I may have been using FSD. Any tips how to make this efficiency happen more?

Originally numbers before release came in at 3.1 miles per kWh.....
FOUR PER is BLOODY BRILLIANT.
In '86 l took David Jones's 356 out for the Porsche economy run over about 200 miles and was only beaten by an older 356A with only a driver on board .....l had the late Maurie Swanson ( Pres of The 356 Registry) and his son Peter on board.....
