Question: I thought Summon was now enabled on the Cybertrucks. It does not come up on my app for the new truck, but it is there for my old model Y. Is there something I need to do to activate it?

I think you need to enable it in the truck settings first, then it shows up

Unless Tesla can get a quick injunction, and has a lot of inventory stockpiled, this could delay CT production for many months. The court document is an interesting read.

Hard to say what aluminum casting parts they make for the Cybertruck but looking at their website I would say drivetrain.

If all of our dates roll back to 2027, we'll know why.

A Tesla supplier, Angstrom Automotive Group LLC, is responsible for Cybertruck production slowing down to a crawl. I knew something was happening behind the scenes and we finally learned the root cause.

Even at the speed of Tesla I don’t see the current situation being resolved until September/October. Even if Tesla gets the green light from the courts to remove the tooling and set it up in their own facility it’s not going to happen overnight.

Tesla needs to contract with a millwright company to dismantle and remove the existing equipment, transport it and get the machinery set up and calibrated for production.

I understand that building brand new tooling would take 6-months because of the complexity so that’s not really an option for Tesla. Tesla is in a real pickle with their current supplier and the courts.

It looks like 2026 SAWD's are going to be rare bird. By the time this gets resolved I'm confident 2027 Cybertruck's will be in production as they usually switch model years sometime in September for the CT.
