Just took a 4-hour trip and these sunshades were 👌. Cheap but keeps the sun and glare out. This plus the ceramic tint kept the cabin nice a cool when it was 100 outside.

I’ll be honest thought they were cheesy when I received them but I was wrong.

Are they easy to remove if you only want them for a roadtrip or is it a semi-permanent thing?

What tint did you go with? Its super important to me in AZ to keep the heat out. In fact when I first was deciding to buy a cybertruck I decided against it because the cabin of the turo’d CT was so miserable hot during the trip.

Wouldn’t mind trying cyberbrite but not sure I’d receive it before my scheduled PPF install. Might just do iron X and BKF liquid.
If you are wrapping, I am sure the installer will clean it prior to installing. I don’t think you need to waste the time or money to do an Iron-X.
Mine looked horrible after just the Iton-X, wash and IPA wipe.
Let me know how BKF turns out.

Just a gripe. Got an alert my Tonneau didn’t close all the way. I opened controls and hit close but there’s no feedback that it’s closing. I’ve noticed the doors show when they open and even the tailgate has animation, but the tonneau has none. You also can’t check remotely with a camera to see that it’s closed or not. No idea why this is the case In The Tesla app. 😂

Totally agree. Not sure why the tonneau isn't animated. It’s shows like it’s always open even when it’s closed. 🤦‍♂️

I was never a believer in XPEL XR, or expensive tint in general. I drove the truck for about a week without any tint. I wouldn’t say the cabin was miserable, but it definitely got hot.

After getting the tint, I have to admit it was like day and night. It made a much bigger difference than I expected and was definitely worth the extra $$$.

I went with 15% VLT on all the side windows and 50% on the windshield. Looking back, I probably would have gone with 30% on the windshield instead. That said, with 50% I haven’t noticed any visibility issues, even driving at night in the rain.

Was it $375 for everything? Did you order it with your truck? Did they schedule install after delivery!

I believe it will be based on where you are located. Tesla outsources it to an XPEL installer in your area.

If you go to upgrades in your App, under installable upgrades choose tint and it will give you several options, front driver and passenger windows only, all sides and rear, windshield etc.
the cost varies based on what options you choose. I paid $1299 for all sides, rear and windshield. (There is no option to remove the rear window tint)

I ordered it through the app after delivery.

59k Hepa Filter Upgrade and BioWeapon Mode

Had a Mobile Tech (great guy) who came out and installed my previously purchased Hepa filter and also enabled "Hepa" intakeAirFiltertype, he did say he added the Bioweapon Defense Mode but its currently not showing up. He said he would escalate to his Master tech and see why it's not. The car configuration now shows it as a Hepa and if I took the car into a SC it would read Hepa. He said he would keep me updated as to the status and assumed this would just be a software push/update at some point. He did push the same software package to my vehicle in hopes that might fix it, which I'm currently installing now. (Update- didn’t seem to fix it).

Either way the car is able to handle just fine the Hepa filter and he agreed the current filter (seen in photo below) is a cheap piece of junk. :D

Cool, so it does look like the HVAC on the AWD is built to handle a HEPA filter, which honestly is all I really care about! I figured those (HEPA & BWDM) would be paired together as a flag in the toolkit. I know some folks found a different HVAC PN between SAWD and Premium which may be the reason for lack of BWDM (less powerful peak fan speed).

For me, in the south this is a day 1 mod as the pollen here is nuts.

Thanks Tarheel!

My planned mods:
Vault Storage
Rear lightbar (most likely used from eBay)
Premium center console (primarily for power outlets)
Some type of rear cupholder setup

The shades are very easy to pop in.

I went with the ceramic pro 55% on the windshield it is noticeably darker from outside but does a great job of keeping heat out and I like the black look.
