I forgot to mention I am also looking at quotes from local tint shops. Will probably only do driver/passenger sides + the small side triangles.

Lots of information on CTOC on tint consensus & ideas. Much appreciated!

What's the consensus?

Do you do the rear windows?

Fingerprints killed me on my last CT. This time I’m planning to finally wrap - looking at a gloss 30% clear….

🤣 I’ve only had mine since Friday and the fingerprint struggle is real.
Then I think me and my OCD are gonna clash!!! Hopefully the cyberbrite1 and Silazane50 helps. Not planning a $5-$6K warp. More like a $250-$300 DIY wrap. Lol

Per Claude AI:
Weighing ceramic windshield film (~$700) vs. just a sunshade + pre-conditioning:

For parked heat, a $70 - $100 sunshade and app pre-cooling do most of the job for almost nothing. Energy-wise the film barely matters — AC is a tiny slice of highway draw, so you're saving ~1%, a couple miles on a long leg.

Where it earns its keep is long trips: you can't drive with a sunshade up, so the film's the only thing killing that bake-through-the-glass feel for hours, plus less heat-soak at every charging stop and UV protection for the dash.

Sunshade if you're on a budget; film if you live in it on summer hauls. Just don't buy it for range.

Yep, I survived the better part of 2 years without a wrap by just leaving the truck perpetually filthy most of the time and an occasional machine wash. Initially I was doing all the things to fight fingerprints: windex, the other one w/o the corrosive stuff, washing regularly etc etc. then I gave up. Couldn’t bring myself to fork over the $$$ to wrap it when I liked the stainless look + ruggedness, but this time around I think I’ll bite the bullet on that 30% clear wrap so I can tone down the “Look at me” vibe of natural stainless a little bit and also fight fingerprints…

Here are the Bridgestone Dueler's 295 70/R18, with Atomic Wheels AW09 18x9" with a +40 offset. They have a tiny little poke but it looks great and no issues turning the wheel fully.

They look awesome! Would like to get your thoughts on road noise compared to the OEM tires.

Road noise is as good if not better (IMO) than the stock GY. I tested on the drive to the installer with a decibel app and the Dueler's seem to stay around 69-70 decibels when running over 70 or even 80mph. The GY would creep up as you went faster somewhat matching the speed in decibels. Certainly not scientific and YMMV, but I'm more than happy with them and the sound which to me is the most important thing coming from a Gladiator with big 37" tires, I have retired from those days. :D

I’m a little worried about road noise, but I’ll survive (I think). My current ride is a 2024 Suburban High Country with Super Cruise—about as close to a rolling living room as you can get.

The funny part is my wife has been driving Teslas since 2021, and I never once felt like I needed one. Then I spent a week driving her 2026 Model Y Juniper.

Well… now I am refreshing the Tesla app far more often than I’d like to admit. 😁🚛⚡

Curious what the budget conscious folks are doing for aftermarket wheels? Im looking at 18" Nokian Outpost nAT for tires.
