Your CPA said you can get the commercial credit for $7,500 and title it in your name? Or your biz? (I just got my VIN and have it in my name as of now)
AFAIK, you can register it under an LLC/ in your name:
FAQ: https://www.irs.gov/newsroom/topic-...out-qualified-commercial-clean-vehicle-credit
Legislation:
(c) QUALIFIED COMMERCIAL CLEAN VEHICLE.—For purposes of this section, the term ‘qualified commercial clean vehicle’ means any vehicle which—
‘‘(1) meets the requirements of section 30D(d)(1)(C) and is acquired for use or lease by the taxpayer and not for resale,
‘‘(2) either— ‘‘(A) meets the requirements of subparagraph (D) of section 30D(d)(1) and is manufactured primarily for use on public streets, roads, and highways (not including a vehicle operated exclusively on a rail or rails), or ‘‘(B) is mobile machinery, as defined in section 4053(8) (including vehicles that are not designed to perform a function of transporting a load over the public highways),
‘‘(3) either— ‘‘(A) is propelled to a significant extent by an electric motor which draws electricity from a battery which has a capacity of not less than 15 kilowatt hours (or, in the case of a vehicle which has a gross vehicle weight rating of less than 14,000 pounds, 7 kilowatt hours) and is capable of being recharged from an external source of electricity, or ‘‘(B) is a motor vehicle which satisfies the requirements under subparagraphs (A) and (B) of section 30B(b)(3), and
‘‘(4) is of a character subject to the allowance for depreciation.

I actually looked into the clean commercial vehicle tax credit recently because I’ve been expanding my small business—a delivery service for local artisan products. I didn’t go for it yet since I’m still researching the best EV options for the job, but it’s definitely tempting. No MSRP or income limit makes it super accessible!Funny story, when I was setting up my Dubai LLC formation a few years back (long story short: I needed a presence there for international suppliers), I saw firsthand how incentives like these can really make or break decisions for small businesses. It’s great to see something similar here that encourages cleaner options without the usual hoops to jump through.

In oder to claim this clean commercial vehicle credit you need a Clean Vehicle Seller’s Report from Tesla. I haven't been able to get this report from them. Anyone have a way to get the report? My CPA says that without this Seller's Report I won't be able to claim the tax credit.

Why does your CPA say that? It's not part of the Form 8936 requirements.
https://www.irs.gov/forms-pubs/about-form-8936

Nor Form 3800
https://www.irs.gov/forms-pubs/about-form-3800
They are using some sort of tax software and are receiving a rejection notice similar to what is posted in the other thread. I'll keep watching that thread in case any workaround comes up. But I doubt I can get Tesla to submit the vehicle sale form which would allow the VIN matching to occur which i think is the basis for the tax return rejection.

Yeah, I just read other thread. From IRS guidance, it looks like Tesla needed to provide model certification of eligibility, but not Seller's Reports

Here is a very frustrating reply from Tesla:

"The Commercial 45W does not require Tesla to submit any information on your behalf as it on [sic] the customer to apply when filing taxes.

Taking this directly from Tesla policy: If a customer takes delivery of an ineligible vehicle, they will not receive a form, since the form is only valid to confirm eligibility for a tax credit under tax code(s) 30D or 25E. Customers that purchased a new vehicle that is ineligible for 30D and registered under a business may be intending to claim a credit under tax code 45W. In that case, the customer may file for this credit on their taxes without any special form being provided by Tesla, aside from copies of their purchase documents. Customers should work with their tax professional to complete all necessary documents as a part of their filing.

I have confirmed with the policy team that we are unable to accommodate your request on the IRS ECO website and have CC'd my leader Brayson should you have any further questions.

All the best,

Sales Supervisor"

So no help from Tesla on the IRS tax return clean vehicle VIN mismatch rejection. I had asked them to register my sale on the IRS ECO website.

The issue is Tesla (the manufacturer) needs to submit the VINs of all 45W credit eligible Cybertrucks (AKA all Cybertrucks).
The delivery center has no hand in this and the portal would actually reject the transaction since the VINs aren't entered, and even if they were, it would reject the submissions because the 2024 Cybertruck sales aren't eligible for the credits the portal is made for (30D, 25E).

Yup I'm getting the same thing and they are completely wrong.

Check out my other thread with proof they are wrong.

Is it class action lawsuit time?

What Tesla said was correct though:
""The Commercial 45W does not require Tesla to submit any information on your behalf as it on [sic] the customer to apply when filing taxes."
Tesla doesn't submit anything "on your behalf". What they are supposed to do it tell the IRS what vehicles qualify for 45W. That's completely separate from the purchaser.

Okay, either way they screwed up and now we are screwed, the onus is on them to fix this!

Indeed, just separating what the delivery staff can do from what corporate needs to do. Front line workers did nothing wrong.

It actually was never the frontline workers, they don't even do the 15400 or the ECO portal they refer that to a special tax credit department outside of their store.
