A CT wrap install should be less than $1000

I’ve spoken with several installers and they unanimously agreed that people are overpaying for the installation of their CT wraps. Specifically if they are installing a wrap kit or pre cut pieces.

On average, the sellers of these kits are making a minimum of a 50% markup and some are more than 200%.

However, with the purchase of one of these kits at $1500, any installer should be able to provide an installation for less than $1000 and still make a hefty profit.

Concluding that a precut wrap cost with installation should be less than $2500.

I’m no expert here but from what I have heard, the most difficult and tedious part of a wrap is doing the edges properly and it takes quite a bit of time. Now, not all places do this and yes, are likely overcharging but hey, people pay it so why not?
I learned a long time ago, something is only worth what someone else will pay for it. So, if people continue to pay the high prices for a wrap they will keep charging it.

I sense it. anything CT is $$$. I am waiting for it to come down a bit.

I am in between homes and in an apartment, if I were in a home with a big garage I would seriously consider DIY.

Wrap shops are a bunch of turds for the most from my experience. I have never seen a group of people NOT clamoring to take your money than some local ones here. I ask for a specific wrap, no reply.

I then found a place that had what I wanted. I watched him work the order up $1,499 for Pure PPF Obsidian Red, Labor: $4,400, tax. I had windshield as well which was $1,000 so yeah, f@k that.

I did my own wrap from Tesbros, the kit was amazing and came with everything you could possible need. It took me about 18 hours to wrap, plus 3 hours the day before to clean, prep and clay bar the truck. If you put that into an hourly wage cost and expect your wrapper to be professional making $30ish an hour(I know they wouldn’t take as long as I did, but they shouldn’t be paid less because their experience allows them to finish faster), plus the fact the company needs to make money. So, with good quality materials and a perfect install, easily worth $5k or more. I’ve always wanted to get a car wrapped, but was never worth it to me as, because that price, even on $60k car the percentage to car was too high. On a $100k car, it’s less than the tax.

There was one shop here, guy wasn't huge but had the space and promotes wraps. I asked for Pure PPF, no reply! Oh well....someone else got the business.

Here in Los Angeles the dudes standing out side Home Depot want $25 a hour to dig a hole at your house so I would def say a good wrapper should be payed more then $30. I’m also not spending 18 hours to wrap it.
another thing I’m not seeing here is you’re also paying for the quality of film used and brand names if you are into the $4500 range. I come from the “you get what you pay for “ way of thinking. But yeah I’m sure they make it up a bit when they know you dropped $100k on the truck they know 5k isn’t a problem, also if you ask your wrapper if he’s going to go around the edges and he says know and charging you $4500 then yeah you are probably getting stiffed a bit
