Darn.....seems to be inevitable. I wasn't able to charge at home or super charge so no option but to take it in before it died. Good thing I had 60% of the battery. The soonest service appointment i could get was almost a month out, I called and they told me to bring it in as soon as convenient, they gave me a loaner and said they put a rush on the parts and once they come in it only takes them a couple hours to fix. I dropped it off on Wednesday and it was ready for pick up on Friday....big welcome surprise for me. Hope you have the same.
Weird part was I woke up this morning and the alert was gone. Still sending it in. I can’t afford to be driving over the mountains today and it go back on the fritz. Hopefully I can stop it off and get a loaner

Update- Tigard, OR service was great. They got me in that day, and are fixing the PCS, cantrail, and a couple tonneau things. All under warranty. So no charge. It will take a few weeks so they gave me a loaner X. And I will be honest, the Cybertruck runs circles around the X in so many ways…my opinion of course, but th Cybertruck - with cargo capacity, 4 wheel steering, FSD, roominess, speakers… suspension… like there is no car on the road that is better than my Cybertruck. But that’s my opinion

Noticed my CT wasn't charging last night. Went out to see what was up and saw two alerts on the screen PCS2_a094 & a095. AC Charging and Powershare issues. I don't have PowerShare set up and haven't used that before at the house but my level 2 is not working to the vehicle. I have scheduled a service and the earliest here in the Bay Area is March 4th....CRAZY. Wondering if many others are having same issue and that is the reason for long wait times getting into any service center?? Grok says many CT owners are having the same issue following the last software update. I am going to try a super charger today and hope I can get some juice there.

Got my update last night. Same issue. AC unable to charge.

ah well at least you're not our in the middle of no where when it happened. Would like to know how quickly they turn your CT around. It does seem from this and other threads that Tesla is much more prepared for this fix.

Service appointment for it on the 19th, service manager said the part should arrive by Tuesday but already reserved a loaner for me.

They said it would be 3 weeks but they got it done in less than a week. Good service. Glad I go that fixed under warranty

Have to say based on my PCS appointment, that it does seem as though the service center especially my local Palo Alto center has gotten better. Good on Tesla for the improvements

Question for you all. My PCS failed and had been replaced. Is there a recommended charge amperage I should be using going forward. I always had it set at 40amps. Thanks for any intel here.

Not sure but I wouldn't baby it if you are under warranty. Just my two cents.

There are debates. Some say lower amps=lower heat etc on electric components. Others say lower amp charging also keeps the truck awake and pumps running etc longer and is not efficient. Some super low ampr's lose 15-20% of the energy purchased because of the the overhead.,

Take your poison. Then dive down a rabbit hole with it.

I charge how I need to when I need to. It is an EV and needs to be charged to operate.

Without a teardown or some guidance from Tesla, we've no idea if behavior is contributing to these PCS failures. I've yet to perceive a common thread between owners with PCS replacements.

FWIW I plug in daily and always charge at 48A, with maybe 2-3k miles of Supercharging, on my factory-original PCS.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I had a service request for April 6th for the darn windshield wiper, which is now dry wiping (only on FSD) so much it’s scratching my windshield. I keep it as clean as I can along with windshield. Anyhow noticed the PCS2 thing on my work order. I trust that it’s necessary and didn’t given another thought. UNTIL tonight stopped charging at 77%. Went to go look at CB and there it friggin’ is! Latest update? Tesla OKC has notified me they won’t have wiper or other part until April 13th!! What the hell is happening. Home charger at 48. 19k. 2024 Foundation. Someone please reassure me at some point our CT’s will be 100%, nothing else goes wrong and maybe we’ll get lucky and get an “I’m sorry” via Elon and we will finally get ActualSmartSummon! I can dream, can’t I?

I know the feeling. My experience was surprisingly VERY GOOD. Had about the same charge amount and service request said over a month to get me in but when I called they said bring it in as soon as you can and we will check it in and give you a loaner. This was on a Wednesday, by Friday the app said your vehicle was ready for pick up. I also had the wiper blade replaced while it was there. I have AWD FS and charge at 48amp. Hope you get the same turn around. Tesla knows of this issue and it seems like they are proactively pushing the part out to the service centers.

Well I was struck by this issue this morning.

Just dropped it off at service center who's quoting up to 8 weeks.

No loaners available. Waiting for an Uber in the waiting room (out of my pocket)

Details:
22k miles
VIN 6000's foundation
Charged at home on a new 40amp L2 (ecoflow)
