Why does going to the delivery event matter?
Because, it took 30,000 points to get an invite to the Delivery Event. If you only had 30,000 or even 40,000 or 50,000 you would NOT have enough to break to the front of the line! That would suck!

Yea, it'd be annoying. But like I mentioned before you got. Once in a lifetime experience in that case.

Hopefully they will only get the ones other people showed up for and then rejected.... That's a fast way to reassign a low vin #....

I'm gonna come forward with this one for y'all. You did not miss much not being at the event. The line was REALLY incredible, but the presentation was meh and no one could see over each other.

It was the friends and experiences that were way more fun. I largely stayed quiet about being a twitter dude and just enjoyed myself a lot. Perks of anon.

What part of CA? I run exotic fruits to So Cal all the time!
I actually live about 10 mins from Fremont factory, in Bay Area.
If those exotic fruits ever bring you up to the Bay, definitely keep in touch.

The event looked like a huge cluster, to include the parking/entrance situation. It appeared that they only space you actually got was when you walked down the assembly line.

I ordered next morning and have no clue when to expect to see a shiny box in the garage. Days, weeks, months or years? 58 when I ordered. Probably 63 before I receive. The initial excitement has turned to numb enthusiasm.

So I should feel bad for people that went to the event that don’t have enough points now to skip the line?

Naw.

It was pretty clustery for sure. My favorite part was the patio with all the trucks and the line for sure.

Shame about the shooting thing that took rides off the table!

I don't think I heard about a "shooting thing"

I mean, it's nice to dream but Ford isn't going anywhere. And rivian is basically baby Tesla with better fit and finish. They even have a more mass market announcement on March 7.

Between the shenanigans, people not liking Elon and the loss of the supercharger network trump card. Who knows what the future holds.

I just want my trucklol
Ford is fucked. They lost 36k on every ev they sold last year. Let’s revisit in 2030. Rivian still can’t build their current models in meaningful volume, they can design as many new things as they want and it won’t matter because they can’t make them much less make them at a profit as they’re losing over $1b per quarter. Superchargers are about to become a much larger profit center for Tesla. Opening the standard and the network are both wins as they will draw more consumers to the brand as more people come in contact with the superior architecture.

@LonelyCTfan sorry to see you go. Wanted to see that delivery!

I have to say when I saw Dirty Tesla blow his wad of credits I was pissed. His house is 10 miles from our house. I live on more dirt roads, and I do more adventure stuff than he ever does in his so called Dirty Tesla.

Yet I really moved on. He has to grovel for clicks while I drive my 4 Tesla's and just take pictures of nature all over the world. Good for him, good for me.

Sometimes we need to move back to center and say the truck is coming. Sometimes roadblocks or bricks are thrown our way. Those who stay will be champions. Ok well maybe just truck owners.

I just called and cancelled... Between this and his political show, I'm out! I know they don't care, as expressed by the service rep, they made 1250 off of me and knocked my credit down 80+ points, so they win I guess.
Couldn't miss the chance to virtue signal on your way out, huh?

Usually I would feel this way, but @LonelyCTfan is a dope fan. I think he wanted this to go down good, but sometimes it just doesn't work for personal reasons.

Over the years I think I have seen the bitter BS, and then the frustrated person. We are all allowed to vent a bit in life. We use this forum as a place to share and sometimes to provide comfort, and get it.
