Accelerator pedal issue - incorrect spot welding (rivet for the rescue)

I have watched the video regarding the Cybertruck accelerator issue and it was quite obvious for me that the spot welding was done incorrectly.

I think it is just time and your driving habit when this will happen. I think because of the materials wide difference and the lack of time to do proper testing with the technology change.

There are so many way to prevent this.

While I am not a pedal to the pedal person but if Tesla within a week doesn’t make a recall and fix it I will just put couple of rivet there to keep the cover sliding from the pedal and we are good to go.

The shiny plastic cover is superfluous. Should just be bare metal with grip strut grating.

Agreed. As I wrote. There are multiple better solutions then the on is implemented by Tesla.
