I managed to clip one of those slim triangular curbs they cut into sidewalks while making a right turn at night. When I got home I noticed I had broken what many call a “mud flap,” however, this is technically a “spat” as it’s in front of the rear tire and is for aerodynamics. I’m wondering if anyone else has done this and if you were able to repair it yourself or if you had to take it to a SC?

If you break one loose, remove it asap. The replacements don't come with any fasteners and you will either loose a plastic one or a torx bolt. These are tough to source, and SC has hundreds of bins of different ones so they can't just walk back and grab you some. I wound up ordering a variety pack of fasteners and just happened to have the right allen/torx bolt laying around.

All the fasteners are in the parts catalog and you can order them by part number from the service app along with the plastics.

Neither the tech nor I could locate them. They are in the catalog but finding them was an issue.

My left front fascia fairing fell off. I have an appointment to have it replaced. Tesla service is coming to my house on Monday to replace it. Tesla is charging me $76.75 to replace it.
If it falls off again, I’m going to remove the right one too. Since they call it a fairing, I assume that its purpose is to reduce drag increasing range?
It is quite difficult to find this part. Tesla Service had to order it and it took a week to get it delivered.

Yeah, for aero/ range.
We take them on/off for off roading vs road tripping.

Might be a good idea to take them off when encountering deep snow.
