Anyone have a recommendation on a Screen Swivel?

And as far as the screen being lower instead of higher, all the kits seem to do this. Flipping them upside down creates an annoying arc because of the build design (I tried it for a bit).

I got my swivel mount from anysix and I am very happy that I did it. What I would like to share with everybody who put a swivel amount in is that while I was installing it, I noticed a slight problem.
For any of you who installed a swivel mount, if you remember the part where you put the two bolts from the swivel mount through the back of the body of the screen. What a lot of people don't realize is that bar on the swivel mount that gets bolted to the back of the screen. The bar goes right above the plug for the screen and when you tighten the bolts up, it puts pressure on the plug. So right away I called Anysix and told them about the problem and I recommended that they install a washer thick enough to bridge the gap so there's no pressure on the plug. But what I did on my end instead of waiting for a new modification, I modified what I had and crazy glued 2 washers to each side
(just a little dab so the washers don't move) to the top of the mounting part of the back of the screen so the bar for the mount would sit higher and clear the plug.
How did I notice this? I'm glad you asked. While looking at the back of the screen when it is disconnected, you can see that the two mounting points on the back of the screen sit a little bit lower than the plug. You can see what I'm talking about in the picture that I added. I put a straight edge across
the two mounting points on the back of the screen and you can tell that the plug would be in the way.
Anysix was very pleased with the information I gave them and they refunded half of my money back without me asking for anything.

Thank you for the post, this is super helpful to know... Do you have any pics of where you put the washers? I'm sure I can figure it out if not.

Edit : I think I figured out what you did, you attached the washers to the back of the screen, in the same area you showed the level correct? Did you have to modify that plastic cover thing it slides into? It looks like a tight fit on the video I watched. Thanks

I think you figured it out . I took four washers and put two on each side because I felt that one washer wasn't enough to raise the crossbar to clear the plug. And because I didn't want the washers moving during the installation, I put just a little spot of crazy glue between two washers then I put another spot of crazy glue on the top of the mounting part on the back of the screen. now, if you get the drift of where I put the washers instead of glueing them to the screen, glue them to the underside of the crossbar that's going in, this way they do not become a permanent part of the screen. By glowing the washers in place it saves you a lot of worries on the install, and it did not interfere with the plastic cover.

Yep, I'm following you - I think I'll glue it on the mount part (under side) before I bolt that whole thing into the dash, this way I can line up the holes. Thanks for the heads up, I saw on the install video they kind of just tucked it underneath the bar but you could see it was totally putting pressure on it. When I do the install I'll take some pics to post (if I remember) maybe it'll help others too in the future.

I used a Dremel to grind the mount so it didn't interfere with the plug. Annoying but it works.

Now someone (Sponsors) needs to make a tray for under the screen, now that it swivels. My original tray didn't fit. ordered a second that i thought would fit, it didn't. ordered a third, no go. i think if i modify the third one and use foam tape i might get it to work. but it would be nice if there was one designed to work with the swivel.

So I got the swivel the other day and installed it today. Overall, now that its done I'm super happy with it, but I will say the install was a pain in the ass - or maybe I made it more difficult than it had to be but as others mentioned the swivel mount puts a lot of pressure on the plug for the screen with that safety clip attached and I could see it flexing the circuit board that it goes into. I wasn't happy with this at all, so I ended up modifying almost every piece in the kit (thanks for the tips from others). See pics below in case it will help others in the future.

I started out by cutting a relief in the plastic for the cable as shown above because otherwise you have to bend it in behind the plastic in awkward way.

I had about a 1/4 inch gap and the plug was already touching the bracket. Tightening it down would have started to bend the cable and board so I didn't want to do that, I traced out the plug on the bracket to grind it down.

I ground away some metal with a Dremel and colored in the bare metal with a sharpie incase anything would be visible - it's not so don't worry about it and being neat. The metal is surprisingly hard to cut and grind. I also glued on one washer on each side to reduce the amount of metal I had to cut, I didn't want it to get too thin. Alternatively you could just add more washers, I don't know if everyone's specs are slightly different, but I would have needed about 3-4 washers on each side to clear it without cutting metal, then the screws would have barely threaded into the swivel mount - something I would not be happy with and feel it was secure.

Here is the mount when it is fully seated now, it's not putting any pressure on the cable at all. I also had to cut the top of the plastic trim (on top of the mount about 2 mm), the single washer raised it up enough that the top clip holding it to the screen on top would keep popping out when I tightened it down. I didn't take a pic of this.

Final product. Now that it's done, im super happy with it and glad I did it because it makes a HUGE difference and feels like a cockpit now. Everything is easily reachable and I don't mind it being about an inch lower, in fact I like it better. What I think the flaw is the original design was intended to use with a different extension cable that didn't use the locking clip for the USB to the monitor, that's a pretty big safety hazard, so when they supplied the new V2 extension cable they modified it so the cable would now lock into the monitor using the safety clip but they didn't adjust for that in the actual swivel. Hope this helps somebody.

Its crazy that we would need to grind down metal to make it fit. Need Customer support to help with the issue with the product at hand. But respect for going that far.
