Don't start the submarine sandwich vs. hero debate. They are clearly subs.
If you came from NY it’s a hero…?

I'll reluctantly accept hoagie. Grinder? Not even sure where that's from.
Wawa sells hoagies, no subs, no hero’s, no grinders.
But Subways sells subs.
Haven’t had a grinder in decades.
All are my favorite sandwiches.
But are they really sandwiches???

One of the things I hate about living in this state. It’s like everyone in NJ is so incompetent that we cannot lift a nozzle and insert it into a gas tank. The inefficiency it causes is perplexing. I could easily save 10 minutes of my time if I could just pull up, fill up, and go. Noooooo. I gotta wait for the Gas Attendant to finish the three other cars at the pump before he addresses me and asks what I want. I could have been long gone by the time he meanders over, but it’s ‘The Law’ that someone has to supervise the dispensing of a fluid. 49 other states can manage to perform this task. But here? Don’t you dare touch that pump! Ridiculous.
…sorry, what were we talking about?

i was curious the origins of that law and its amazing how successful they were in convincing everyone that pumping fuel is dangerous and needs to be done by professionals (really a cover story for corrupt price fixing scams between gas stations) .. crazy stuff, cant believe its still in place today after allt he times they try to repeal it like everyone else.

Words of wisdom my friend. Unfortunately in the “Garden State” there is a significant lack of just that. It’s only dangerous for one state apparently.

So, in NJ, charging can be faster than filling?
