Just wondering are the newly delivered CT's being delivered with the rivet to fix the accelerator pedal?

It's not end of the world deal breaker for me but, if possible, I prefer not to have the rivet as it just does not look so clean, will end up filling with dirt over time etc.. I feel like any new CT's coming from the factory it's easier to just trim back the floor mats or slightly adjust the height of the accelerator pedal during production from the factory.

I took my Cyberbeast in for service and they told me it didn't need to get a rivet. There is no recall for my vin. Not sure why, it was built before it came to light that the pedal had an issue.

Maybe CB pedals are slightly different in look and build?

Same here. Took mine in to get a few issues fixed found at delivery and they said I didn’t need to get it fixed (VIN <1250) and there was no recall. That was strange. Then yesterday my mirror came in and they fixed the pedal with the rivet saying it was mandatory. I’m cool either way but would rather not have it.

I'd also not want it. Did they ever say if they would replace the pedal at some point?

I didn’t even ask because no matter what the SC says, they are usually wrong or just making assumptions.

True but if no one asks they just get to assume everyone is cool with it.

Thats interesting, first I heard it only affects the dual-motor, then today I just saw a CB post a pic of their rivet. I guess it's not really consistent or different service centers have different info.

Cyberbeast pedals are not any different from Dual Motor pedals. The fewer parts, the better.

Every couple of weeks I try to pry off the accelerator pedal cover of my Dual Motor, but it might as be welded to the pedal. No budgie. I haven't got a recall notice either.

Without the rivet installed, I'm nervous, I'm having trouble falling asleep worrying about the cover slipping off the next time I floor it and jamming the accelerator. I think the worry is also causing hair loss. I'm a nervous wreck with all the lack of sleep!

Just kidding! :ROFLMAO: I hope I never get the rivet!

Well, the good news if it ever does happen it should not be hard to use your toe to unstick the pedal. Will the brake override the accelerator? From my understanding even if the pedal was stuck the brake will override it anyway?

I feel like its more likely to push the flexible rubber mat forward with your foot Vs the pedal cover slipping down.

Yes, pressing both pedals causes any Tesla to stop AND make annoying beeping sounds.

No, I do not ask Apple Store employees when the new iPhone comes out and what new features will it have and I don’t ask SC employees about updates and new things Tesla is working on like aerocaps. They just do not know. You can ask them though.

Ok but it's a little different than asking when the new widget comes out. I'm just saying if lots of people ask them about something they may ask others in the company and so on. If no one asks about it there is no chatter in the SC or their management and so on.
