In some respects that makes sense but in some respects it doesn't. The people living in the GigaTexas area can come by for a tour any time, and have access to the great Texas BBQ any time. Those of us elsewhere in the country would/will have to make a special trip to Texas for either.

My vote would be to have the event over several days, with employees and locals on one day and out-of-towners on another day.

Anyway, if he really wants to have the largest party ever he should just open the damn thing to everyone. Here would be my priority list:

Day 1 (local employees and locals):
- those with active Model Y reservations
- those with active Cybertruck reservations
- others

Day 2 (out-of-towners):
- those with active Model Y reservations
- those with active Cybertruck reservations
- others

In all cases, no preference to youtubers or other 'vocal', famous, wealthy, or influential people
active reservations? that has to be over 900k outside Texas.....wow....thats lots of tickets......and lots of BBQ

You don't really think that every reservation holder would go to Austin, do you? So what do you think should be a reasonable prioritization for invitations?

By the way, I would be happy to buy tickets for this event. If I can commit myself to $80K (plus) for a Cybertruck I can pay my way to an event like this. If you think that paying for tickets would reduce interest in coming to the event then by all means we should encourage Elon to charge an entry fee and to do advance reservations.

my point was he said that "reservation holders" could go.......with the reported 1.2 million reservations, I thought maybe 900k would be eligible or want to go....to your point: no, I don't think everyone would go....and probably only 80% of "reservation holders" will eventually get one what with the price, size and what the Cybertruck will have as standard features yet to be confirmed

While everyone is enjoying music and BBQ, I’m gonna steal the cybertruck for a few laps
A few lap around the factory? Texas? The US? The planet?

Me thinks if I got in it I might never get out.

Invitations will be mailed out, Elon said. That lets them invite locals and press as well as customers and fans.

That's how they did it at German factory.

So which postal workers do I need to bribe/stalk to get an invitation?

I think that if they got 30,000 to go over 2 days that would do it.

I want the Butthole Surfers to open for Dinosaur Jr and Janes Addiction.
More to southern music than country.

One of my claims to fame, is that Perry Farrell the lead singer for Janes Addiction was my roommate, when he was 18. He and a couple of friends from Miami stayed at my house to go surfing one summer. BTW, his real name is Perry Bernstein.
