Do you people stay awake at night trying to think up new things to worry about? I'm sure it'll be fine.
I wish that when I was student (36+ years ago!) I had nothing else to keep me up at night than worrying about which car wash to use on my new $50K+ Tesla..... but no, that's not how it worked. o_O

(Although I did lose sleep wondering if the bald tires on my $300 '68 Chevelle would last till end of my last quarter!).

ETA: for the record, I did buy a new Toyota truck just a week after graduating.... $8000!

ETA2: And I even got pulled over by the cops for having bald tires, and had to tell them I was graduating the next week and would be putting new tires on it.

Washing your cybertruck is fine, but waxing is just nuts. Anybody who waxes Cybertruck should be hung, drawn and quartered
You wouldn’t use wax on stainless anyway. You would use-wait for it- Stainless Steel Polish! 😂😂😂

Stainless steel swirls look nice anyway. The whole point of going paint-free and thick stainless steel is so that you don't have to worry about the finish of your truck. I snapped this picture of a bathroom stall a couple of months ago. I think it would make a great Cybertruck finish. :D

The cybertruck is being produced pre-scratched. Any new ones will blend in and not be noticed.

brought to you by the misinformation department.

I'm not worried at all about scratches on the Cybertruck. Maybe like immediately after i buy it I want it to be nice and smooth all over until i show it to all my friends, but even if i happen to get a little scratch from something, you can remove small scratches. I don't even expect the cybertruck to scratch from normal things like my dogs greeting me when i pull up the driveway, or a shopping cart rolling into it. I bet that any noticable scratches would either need to be intentional, or accidentally hitting the truck with quite a bit of force.

However, it's a stainless steel truck with no paint. tiny scratches won't be seen unless you are looking for them and big scratches won't even look that bad since it's not removing paint.

That's a very, ummm, strong opinion.

Agreed that waxes, polishes, etc. are pointless on stainless steel. While these things might nourish paint, on stainless they will only attract dust and dirt, only to streak down the sides at the first rain.

Running the Cybertruck through an automated car wash with brushes full of dirt and small rock particles from the off road pickup in front of you may be a benefit.

Resulting in: "A Brushed Stainless Steel Aged Patina Effect".....Perfect!

Let's not even talk about wax buildup...
Never mind, let's jump in. Every time you wax, it applies an ever-thickening coat of wax, which will eventually crack and turn yellow from the sun. Then what, do you apply STRIPPER!?!?
Strippers are hard on Cybertruck, who knows what reaction it'll have with SS.
My wife said "NO MORE STRIPPERS!" So I have to abide. 😄

Met a woman of the night at the corner. She said she would do anything for $200. I brought her home and gave her a paintbrush.

”What do you want me to do with this?” She asked puzzled.

”Paint my house!”

As I like to say... Home ownership means doing for free, what you wouldn't do for money.... :rimshot:
