Is this feature working for anyone? It always says unavailable for me.
I guess it depends on what you mean by 'work'. It isn't 'automatic'; I have to touch the brake pedal to accept its recommendation and then I can go. To me, automatic would not require any input, but given that it isn't always correct I prefer having to give it the go-ahead.

I have never had it tell me that it isn't available for me.

Do you have your seatbelt fastened ? It doesn’t work without that even if enabled.

That’s strange it isn’t working for you. I love that feature and have been using it since day one. I’m waiting for the next iteration of it where it’ll shift from reverse back to drive when you come to a stop. My understanding it Tesla is working on it.
I can do a 3 point turn in my model X and it knows which way to go just by how you turn the wheels after you stop

I didn’t realize it was available already. Cool.

Working fine for me, been using it since I took delivery months ago. On latest SW version now and still working fine.

Have you tried in multiple places, such as a wide open parking lot?

I also use this feature and the truck gets it right 99% of the time. Pretty smart truck.

I'm guessing that the computer has to be able to determine that there is only 1 clear direction that the truck can travel in order for it to be available to choose the direction. Example, if your truck is parked in a parking stall and there is a vehicle parked directly in front of your truck then the computer can easily determine that there is only 1 clear direction of travel so it should be available to make a decision in that case, so maybe when it's saying that it's not available, it can't easily determine a clear direction of travel due to obstruction in front and behind the truck at the same time or no obstructions in front or behind the truck.

I park in a drive way right up against my garage… it only makes sense to go forward. ??‍♂

If there are no alerts about the feature being disabled on your CT, I’d retry the camera calibration (you can also check Sentry mode to make sure all cameras are clean). If that doesn’t work, definitely a service ticket.

Auto shift is my favorite feature. It’s right 99% of the time and I love using it.

I like how it has some AI for what you’re doing. If you stop and crank the wheel like you would because you are going to reverse your direction, it will figure that out and switch gears automatically (if your foot is on the brake pedal). And it plainly displays that if you want to reverse direction then use the accelerator.

Been working here. Does it not ask you to tap the brake? Do you have it enabled in the menu? What software?

From the manual:
Cybertruck automatically selects a drive mode when:
• Auto Shift out of Park is enabled.
• Cybertruck is in Park.
• The driver's seat belt is fastened.
• The brake pedal is pressed.
• All doors and trunks are closed.
• The drive mode selector on the overhead console is not activated (see Shift Using the Overhead Console on page 73).
• The cameras are free of obstructions (see Cameras on page 27) and Cybertruck has enough input to make a selection.
There is one more condition I know of that is not listed here. It can't be in any of the Off-Road modes or Auto-shift out of Park won't be available.

Given that this is not mentioned, I wonder if it won't Auto-shift when the suspension is still in Entry Mode. I don't have mine configured to automatically enter Entry Mode but I'll test it out of no one knows the answer.

Interesting. Let me know if it wont do it in entry. Truck is currently in service, they seem to be having a hard time diagnosing it. They asked for my permission to factory reset the truck which i said ok to but i dont think it fixed it.
