Bad PPF Install

Yikes. I don’t know much about the that brand of ppf, but the CT is an easy one to wrap edges on.

how does it look from 3’ away? If you can’t see the stainless, then let it ride.

Vinyl is much different and much easier to hold the edge.

I know I did my other car for ppf , it’s definitely tough to work with ppf but that is the main thing,
Not sticking and squeegee the soap out …that is the fun part

Good on you for having the patience to DIY! Looks awesome. I don't think I have the patience, nor willingness, to allocate that kind of time on a project. So I guess I'm going to have to hire my way out of it lol. I've got an installer willing to do STEK PPF in Satin Black for $4,400, so sounds like a pretty good deal. They want to be able to promote it on their social media and what not.

Stek 4400 with install is a steal. Material itself shud be 2000$

Flexishield is tough to work with. I don't think they require anything specific in order to buy from them so it's sort of a novice film. Installers who have shops that have been around longer will use more exclusive films.

I'm going to get some hate for this, but STEK isn't that great either, there I said it May as well put vinyl on it and redo individual panels every couple of months.

Mine is similar. They told me they wouldn’t edge wrap XPEL PPF before they did it. I didn’t know any different at the time and that other places/PPF would. Looks great at a distance, but drives me nuts up close.

My installer used Flexishield and wrapped the edges. Only place that had an issue is that tight corner at the small front side window. I'm about 4 months post-wrap install and no issues.
