The F-150 Lightning reveal was very misleading.

The $39,974 base does not include:

The $40K base/commercial model or even $52K XLT model do not get high power version of Pro Power Onboard. These low models do not get any high power 220V outlets. Only 120V outlets. Might not even be able to get as individual option. Might have to upgrade to full higher trim level ( Lariat and Platinum ).

Towing maxmum is only 5,000 lbs. To get 7,700 lbs need to pay extra for optional Max Trailer Tow package

Range is 230 mi., the 300mi extended range costs $10K more. Getting 300mi extended range will also drop the maximum payload down even more to only 1,800 lbs.
$10K for only 70 miles additional is expensive.

With just load in bed (not towing), temperature effects and even moderate hills (not mountains), you probably not get even close to the base claim of 230 mi.

Thanks for digging that up. Ford is playing their usual games. In addition to that info you found. Those are Ford's suggested prices, but with the high demand for these vehicles the dealers will be playing the ole Dealer mark-up game also. They are professionals at playing games!

Mark-up is not the only trick.
As dealer will add dealer installed things like under-coating, paint protection film, etc, then charge thousands extra.

Some Mustang Mach-e buyers were asked to pay $15K extra.

Dealer $15K markup! on Mustang Mach-e

Complaining to Ford will do nothing at all. This has been going on forever. My dealer had a 20K markup on a Shelby GT350 last year. No telling how much extra for a Shelby GT 500 now!

The GT500 is bringing $25K-$50K over and they're sold before they even hit the lot. I can see the majority of dealers sticking to MSRP and dealers with little to no allocation attempting to gouge...this is usually what happens. If Ford even offers A,Z or X it'll be very very close to MSRP and most dealers will exclude this vehicle from these programs anyway. Your best bet will be have a little more patience and wait the extra year, it won't take long for dealers (especially east coast dealers) to start blowing these things out to keep up with their market share.

Ford Mustang Mach-E Dealer Markups Are Already Out Of Control
Would you pay over $70,000 for one?
But Huntington Beach Ford isn't the only dealer scalping its customers, though. Another dealership, Sheridan Ford in Delaware, lists its Rapid Red Metalic First Edition model at $70,040 with a $60,040 MSRP. Unless this is also a publishing error, that represents a $10,000 dealer markup. This is far from an isolated case, as our searched turned up several dealers asking over sticker price for their cars.
