Do you think tesla would fix or replace this. It’s a new cybertruck I just got.
looks weird they are small little bends but from far away it looks worse.

I sure would hope so.

Mine doesn’t have that, there are defects in body/bends, but not that bad. I actually brought it up to SC and they acted like it was fine and gaslighted me. That kinda pissed me off but whatever. I think Tesla is pressuring SC to not fix cosmetic issues. But yours looks much worse so I would hope they would just replace.

they did mention to me they’ve had things much worse than mine that they have replaced. They also said defects give the CT personality (yea, I’m serious) so there’s definitely a line where they will fix/replace. Just 0 guidance on what qualifies I guess. I asked for measurements or any metrics and they said Tesla didn’t tell them any ??. Unsure if that’s changed. That was many months ago

Just a FYI that isn’t a “sales person” you already purchased the truck that’s some clown making minimum wage not doing his job properly. Hardly would blame that part on Tesla. You should have complained about him to his superior so they got more people out there to clean it up and because you didn’t he probably is still doing it to others . Now the real problems for sure you have a gripe. Glad they are fixing the problems.
I guess complaining worked. I took the truck back in for some and the SC repair shop Supervisor and his team went above and beyond. Gave me Demo FDS loaner ? they addressed most of the problems. While I was there waiting for the loaner to be charged, I didn't see the original greeter. Maybe he's gone on to New opportunities.

Wow, I have the same problem on my truck, which was delivered on December 30th, 2024. It’s in the exact same spot on the passenger side as well. It’s a relief to know they fixed it under warranty, as I am planning to submit a service request.

Actually I was told 3days and/or 100mi

however, it is worth a shot to ask.

it amazes me how many of these they allow to be sold with ‘issues’… they make great products overall, but the pre-delivery inspection is either overlooked or ignored.

actually have mine in the ServiceCenter now for many remediations to the exterior and a couple interior panels to be replaced…and a Squeaky SteeringWheel fix.

there are many CyberTrucks with wavy panels and I actually like the look, but the post of the panel in question by the OP is out of the ‘ordinary’ imo.

Direct from the horses mouth: we would rather get the product into customer’s hands and have them come back for service to be fixed, than delay deliveries due to “small imperfections”. These were the words of the regional manager i spoke to. She also indicated that this is a normal part of the iterative build process, they expect it to get better over time. she said “when the Model Y first came out, we were getting a lot of them back due to misaligned tailgates, but now we get almost none back because we have perfected the alignement process at the factory level”. They expect the same over time for the CT. Early adopters get hit the hardest in this process.

this is all fine and well, but anyone with eyes can see imperfections, especially if they work with cars all day… maybe if the manufacturer already had the imperfections highlighted upon delivery (I’m sure they are inspected at the center at some point) rather than ‘waiting for the customer to point them out ‘if they see them in time’’, this would be more acceptable and a due-good gesture towards the ‘early adopters.

CyberTrucks delivered covered in dust and/or quick detail job which leaves extreme smudges doesn’t help the customer inspection onsite. Many imperfections can be hidden like this even to the well trained eye.
