Title says it all. Was considering the Spectra Photosync IRD but heard it’s actually not as good as Xpel.

Anyone tried either and have suggestions?

thanks!

Wondering if I should hold off on the windshield for now until the lightbar is glued on

which % did you get on the windshield? Just got the Xr plus on the sides at 15%
For some reason they recommended not doing anything to the windshield. Will go to another spot to do that.

Went with the xpel xr plus on sides and windshield. No need to wait for the lightbar. Tint is inside

I would for sure - at least for heat and uv protection. You can do 70 and it is basically transparent from the inside. My experience with my X was that those recommending against just weren't experienced enough with it. The place here has done a couple hundred CTs and noted the first few took 4 hours for the windshield before they really got it down pat.

THe windshield is huge and getting that bottom portion right is tough. Take your time and find a place that has actually done a few CTs. Not just an experienced tint place.

Hey what wrap is that for your CT? I’ve seen other satin black and Matte Black but they don’t have the same sheen.

We use Avery Dennison Nano Ceramic IR series, which also has been great. DIY option here:

On this video the front side windows are tinted with it, 50%:
I can vouch for the tint that @TWRAPS has. I did my Front windows and little triangles. Took maybe 30 minutes total to do the little windows and passenger window. I decided to leave the door open for the length of the Atlanta Falcon's loss before moving Fluffy so I could reach the drivers window... I was a bit nervous about closing the door after just 2 hours but it seems to be fine. No bubbles, dust, or weird spots.

NOTE: TWRAPS clearly marks which side is which... both in little print and a giant D or P... Don't do like I did and not notice that when starting on the Passenger Driver side little triangle window...

NOTE 2: Those little windows, while small, are a heck of a reach and the supplied squeegy doesn't fit into the far, pointy side. Also, long arms are a necessary item. LOL

The tinting went well, and I wasn't going to do the rear windows but have now decided to do them just for the heat rejection (now that it's winter, lol)

Tint arrived well protected, and it was easy enough to install. Do recommend.

Thank you so much for the feedback! :) Please consider putting it on our website too :)
Squeegee - noted, I've been installing these for customers since we released it, and came to the same realization. I will procure new squeegees with a handle soon, to ease the install of the small window.
Long arms - definitely helpful. I will check with my Human Body Parts Supplier if we can include those too ?
