Is that 6 charges between San Fran and Salt Lake?
Assume you are doing the cannonball speed strategy of getting the pack very low and only stopping to charge for 15mins or so?
I am following the navigation suggestions. But yea I usually arrive in the teens

5 charges. It says 7 because in two places I was sharing power on v2 supercharger and I moved when they left.

Be interested in seeing that info, supposedly they have improved the charging curve so hopefully you are seeing close to 250w up to about 60% SOC
Also like to hear your general thoughts on the truck and trip
Seems alone route 80 there's a lot of v2 only. Most have been v2 but on v3 I was getting 250kw. Not sure when it started tapering I'll have to look at the curve.

Awesome roadtrip, I was planning on something similar as well but time constraints are changing that, envy your opportunity. Teslfi is a great tool for capturing all your data, My CT is averaging right around 440 wh/mi round trip from Las Vegas-Reno.

you are going to get a lot of attention in Mass. I just got back from a business trip and didn’t see 1 Cybertruck in Boston in 5 days there.
CA, NV didn't really care but WY already had 3 or 4 people turn around to come see it

At the V2 were you doing 45+ minute charging or just quick 15mins to get you to the next one?

Are you getting 250kw up to 50% yet or is it still dropping way down once you hit 30%?

We are awaiting our VIN. Did you get it faster by picking up in California and driving it back?

Where in MA are you from? I’m in Charlestown. Waiting to move to the suburbs this summer before I place my order. It’s been waiting for me since December / January

well it WAS their secret sauce untill this year ... stil not a fan of opening it up.
It's still a secret sauce, considering Tesla is only opening half of the Superchargers up to non-Tesla and owners of those other brands have to pay a monthly subscription to get the same low prices Tesla owners enjoy natively. Oh, and you don't need an adapter to charge a Tesla on the SC network and the network is not well setup for EVs with charge ports where most non-Tesla charge ports are located.

It's really not a big deal since Tesla outnumber non-Tesla by about 2 to 1 and most of those non-Tesla were not purchased for road trips in the same way that many Tesla were.

One thing that sort of annoys me is the fact that non-Teslas sometimes have to take up two spots to charge due to what you pointed out; the charge port being diagonal from the pedestal/connector. “Supercharging etiquette” is dubious/rare now with all the BEV n00bs driving Teslas and non-teslas. 10 years ago, you could pretty much count on everyone parking every other stall to maximize amperage/flow, etc. Today? Many BEV drivers are clueless. I’m not sure how this will unfold…and I have no direct experience super-charging over the last 12 months (I’ve been 100% home charging the past couple years since my CA-to-NM road trip, and have now sold my 2017 Tesla Model 3 to make room for CT). Time will tell. And it might (probably is) a savvy operational/strategic move by Tesla, regardless.

Elon specifically said it was NOT a strategic move and he's not sure whether this was beneficial to Tesla or not, he did it because it seemed like the "right" thing to do (in terms of the mission to accelerate the transition to electric).

No other automaker would have done this, if they were in the same shoes. I support it because this will force third party fast charge networks to improve and lower pricing, or die. And if they improve, then we will see Tesla owners charging there in significant numbers, just as some legacy autos will be charging at Superchargers. It will be better for all EV owners; potential congestion is still dependent upon the speed of new DCFC station buildouts overall.

My Performance Model 3, that has been my daily driver, and our primary road trip car for 6 years has Free Supercharging for Life and I've never had to wait (ever) to Supercharge. Even in my gas cars it was common to wait a couple of minutes for a pump to open up, sometimes as much as 10 minutes at the big stations that had the lowest prices (like Costco). So if I have to wait for another stall to open up because a Mach-e is blocking two stalls, so be it. It's not a big deal, I'm just glad it's one more car not adding to the layer of smog over the roadway.

I said the same thing about the 2/1 ratio but friend reminded me that due to the charge port location that most other EVs will take up 2 charging stalls which puts it back at 2/2 essentially.
