It would be cool to have a zoomed in (minimal distortion) side by side photo to get an idea about the difference between cross sectional area. I think they are close in that regard. But CT’s shape including the mirrors definitely looks more slippery. The impact of BAW should not be that significant since it is more vertical than horizontal.I think it's a given that a stock Cybertruck will have better freeway efficiency vs. the Rivian R1T or R1S. Better city efficiency too.
Rivian can disengage half the motors. Not sure the existing dual motor Teslas and CT have that already built in or not.
In winter it should be more of an appreciable difference since Rivian does not have heat pump and CT may let more heat in from sun with that giant front windshield.
With my Lightning having no heat pump, larger cross section and boxiest shape, I have learned to adjust my speed to close the gap and use more of the seat warmer in winter but if I had to chose between better aerodynamics and heat pump, I would go for heat pump.
