CCS1 to NACS Adapter for Cybertruck now available in Tesla Shop

I just have 1 question. Why did it take Tesla so long to come out with an adapter that worked with the Cybertruck? I would have bought this a year ago, when I bought my CT, and that was a year after they first started selling the CT.

Blind guess: exhausting the inventory on the non-Cybertruck compatible ones.

I wonder if this is tied to a regulation of some sort. Seems awfully generous of Tesla to just start including these with delivery when it's always been an accessory.

Tesla randomly includes stuff like this in deliveries. Seen it with Ys and Ss randomly before too. It probably isn't a nationwide thing.

Anyone else still not having the ability to find this product? Everytime I click on the link, it opens my tesla app (android) and that's it. A manual search in the store on the app yields nothing.

I think I used the web page, and had to go through some process to identify what model car (truck) I have, before the compatible adapter option is shown. I guess that’s because some models require a modification in the vehicle to allow the adapter to work, and have a higher price. Cybertruck models don’t require that, but the adapter is extra-long.

it might also be that they “disappear” it if out of stock?

For what it’s worth, because I purchased the Tesla one, I have a spare 3rd party adapter (photos earlier in the thread) that needs a home. DM me if interested.

I should have said, at least on iPhone, if you hold down on the link, you get an option to open it in your web browser rather than the app. Maybe true in Android too?

I will try that later tonight, thanks.

As for the 3rd party, I would rather stick with Tesla to minimize any chance of warranty denial (i already had my charge port fail once so I could see them try to blame that on a 3rd party adapter if I used one).
