If the tax incentive hit the dual motor variant (good chance it will) then the saving will be in the 10s of thousands. There's really nothing special to the foundation series other than getting it early.
I would say that driving this bad ass machine since early March is well worth a measly $10k (if even that). The FS was the better deal.

Foundation still available. Going .... Going ....

Glad I got mine. Of course next year when they add cool new stuff that was not available on the foundation series I will be bummed. Fifth wheel maybe, four motor 1000hp version maybe, more range maybe, factory polished maybe, who knows.
Upgrade! (We know you will...!)

Yes will be interesting to see how the Cybertruck evolves over time. My 2023 Model Y is such an improvement over my 2018 Model 3. And then comes along the new Model 3! Same will eventually occur with the Cybertruck.

No bed rings? From picture, doesn't seem even like an option. I like bed rings. Other things aren't functional changes. Bed rings missing seems like a miss.
They're aftermarket in the non-Foundation, most likely.

Heck, half of these changes are probably going to show up in Foundation models before the end. (like the airbag label)

FS is well worth its price. We told all of you.
Dude. If you don't have the money, it's still money you don't have, no matter whether or not it's 'worth its price'.

At the risk of sounding douchy, that assumes one qualifies for the incentive personally, in addition to the vehicle making the cut. The tax incentive is a moot point for a segment of folks in the maker for a CT. I Do hope the dual motor meets the requirements so those that can to be able to get it.

I was 1.2 million down on the reservation list. I thought it would be years before I got my Cyberbeast. The Foundation Series gave me a chance to jump the line. Well worth it for me!

There are three main reasons I did not get the Foundation Series:

• Cost (more on this later)
• I wanted to wait until there were more on the road. I don’t want my picture taken or to be gawked at everywhere I drive.
• I wanted them to work out the bugs.

I want FSD, and I will be paying $7k for it on my non-FS CT.
I’m on the fence about AT vs. AS tires, but I’m leaning toward the base AS tires and will decide later if I want to upgrade when it’s time to replace them.
I do not want or need home PowerShare. My power goes out maybe four times a year, and it’s almost always for no more than an hour. In the 20+ years I’ve lived here, I’ve never seen an outage last longer than four hours.

I will be having an electrician come to install a 240VAC circuit for my charger, and I’ll likely need to upgrade my service. While the electrician is here, I’ll ask about installing a generator input with a manual switch, so I can plug my house into the CT’s 240VAC outlet if needed. If the cost isn’t too much, I might go ahead and add it.

I will probably buy many of the options that come with the Foundation Series, but not all of them. I want to choose what I buy, rather than being forced to get accessories I may not need, like, or want.

If you wanted all the extras that come with the Foundation Series, and you enjoy the attention it brings, then yes, FS was likely worth it. It’s just not for me.

all minor changes, d rings can be added (very useful for dirtbike loading I can assure you), I like the all black floor vs. my silver/black - but mine will be covered with a storage box (ordered)....there's going to be more and more changes / fixes on the way, it's Tesla, what they do.....excited for those that waited - they'll get more affordability, the TSB's, some tweaks, order what they want, maybe get the tax break, etc....good for you!

Only regret is I didnt get the airbag label on the other side!

tesla got people to fund their production of accessories by "forcing" the FS package on early adopters. at the same time they apparently didn't gouge either, which is rare.

they also got indirect metrics on what peope like/don't like via obvs socials.

it's a great business move on the books, and they stretched it out soooo hard.

Personally I consider myself lucky to not have had any problems with my truck for having gotten it so early. I found it exciting to explore the new technology with all of you and it still excites me to wait for the "next update" and see how everyone reacts to it. Getting the Foundation series was worth it to me just for these reasons alone. Buying the truck as a whole was a leap of faith for all of us but especially for the Foundation series crowd as nobody knew what to expect. I'm pleased to say that the truck has exceeded my expectations and if I could do it over I would do it again the same way. Early adoption is a risk for sure but its also exciting! I had gotten my Hummer EV super early as well and was exciting to be the first (I got mine shortly after Ashton Kutcher got his) but was really waiting for Cybertruck.
Now I'm waiting for my Optimus robot. I'll ride around with em' in my truck kinda like the ultimate trunk monkey. I'll take em' to the bar and teach em' how to shoot pool and win free drinks. When I'm rock crawling, he can be my spotter. I'll teach em' how to use nunchucks for personal defense. Wait just a minute... Nunchucks are for sissies, we're talking about a robot here... SWORDchucks!
