Minor but worth noting:
  • Squircle says "airbag"on the right side next to the horn
  • Silver is different on squircle
  • No foundation badging on the sides
  • Lower center console no longer has silver inlay
  • No more bed rings

Confirms my thoughts that generally, FS would be the first model year.

Anyone knows if the non FS has all wheel steering? Seems like that's costly.

Alcantara is only for Beast. Not sure we've seen any pics of non-Foundation Beast CT's yet.

This is the point, but also weird; why would Tesla look at the truck and think, hmmm, let's get rid of the bed rings?! They're well known for just s/w disabling features to add perceived value to the higher models. Just seems like bed rings are a really odd choice.
The bed rings may require a human or two to install. Humans are expensive. Selling the parts as a self-installed accessory is more cost effective.

There are three main reasons I did not get the Foundation Series:

• Cost (more on this later)
• I wanted to wait until there were more on the road. I don’t want my picture taken or to be gawked at everywhere I drive.
• I wanted them to work out the bugs.

I want FSD, and I will be paying $7k for it on my non-FS CT.
I’m on the fence about AT vs. AS tires, but I’m leaning toward the base AS tires and will decide later if I want to upgrade when it’s time to replace them.
I do not want or need home PowerShare. My power goes out maybe four times a year, and it’s almost always for no more than an hour. In the 20+ years I’ve lived here, I’ve never seen an outage last longer than four hours.

I will be having an electrician come to install a 240VAC circuit for my charger, and I’ll likely need to upgrade my service. While the electrician is here, I’ll ask about installing a generator input with a manual switch, so I can plug my house into the CT’s 240VAC outlet if needed. If the cost isn’t too much, I might go ahead and add it.

I will probably buy many of the options that come with the Foundation Series, but not all of them. I want to choose what I buy, rather than being forced to get accessories I may not need, like, or want.

If you wanted all the extras that come with the Foundation Series, and you enjoy the attention it brings, then yes, FS was likely worth it. It’s just not for me.
Attention will still be there when you get your truck.

Agreed. I'm just hoping it will be … tolerable.

I still say "Oh, Look! A Rivian" every time I see one. But I'm guessing I'm one of the few who still do.
This truck is a whole different ball game compared to the Rivian. I agree with you. Wish it was less attention and I can just enjoy it.

My FS cybertruck has the airbag label on the lower right of the squircle. Why do people say this is new with non-FS trucks?
Dunno. Mine says airbag too. VIN 14000ish

At the risk of sounding douchy, that assumes one qualifies for the incentive personally, in addition to the vehicle making the cut. The tax incentive is a moot point for a segment of folks in the maker for a CT. I Do hope the dual motor meets the requirements so those that can to be able to get it.
Exactly. If you didn’t get a stimmy check, y’aint getting this tax break either.

not sure where you live. Where I’m at a Rivian is about every 20th vehicle a Tesla is every 5th and the cyber truck is still not everywhere but I do see about 10 a day now
