You have to be doing pretty awful in your life when you feel the need to go out of your way just to insult the belongings of someone else, extreme jealousy is all it is. Maybe not of the CyberTruck itself, but of your life situation and being able to afford it. It's like the people that complained when Chevy made the new Vette automatic only, many complained that a Corvette should only be manual, and would never by an automatic. 99% of those people complaining were people that could never afford one and were never going to buy it to begin with.

those people should move to a socialistic country where everyone thinks and does the same
That is both incorrect and inappropriate. But they ‘should’ maybe learn to keep their negativity to themselves.

I’m sure that’s part of it. And I think you hit the nail on the head of not being jealous of the truck itself. I think most of those haters would unanimously state they absolutely despise the look of it, which I totally understand. It is absurd, but I think in its own unique, interesting way.

My understanding is supercar owners get a similar treatment, just not to this extent because while that is associated only with money, this is also associated with politics and now front page news.

I am new to this myself. Prior to this truck I have always driven a 20 year old mechanics special sort of thing. Not for financial reasons but because nothing new really jumped out at me that much.

The documentary "Idiocracy" was both a depressing and prophetic reality of things to come ?

This past weekend before our snow storm hit I went to the grocery store in my Halo Cybertruck to pick up a few things to have on hand in case I couldn't get back to the store for a few days. (I should not have been concerned as my Cyberbeast made short work of 12-14" snow despite tires that are half way through their tread life but more on that in another thread) Anyway, I pull into a parking space and a guy, I'm guessing late 20's, early 30's, pulls up next to me on the passenger side. As I get out of my truck he hollers at me "You didn't really buy that thing did you?" to which I said "excuse me?" and then he proceeds to say "That was a stupid purchase decision... you are a f'ing dumba$$" and then quickly drives off, out of the parking lot and down the road. He didn't need to go to the grocey store, but evidently felt the need to follow me into a parking lot so that he could berate me and my choice in trucks. I need to pull my USB stick and see if I got any of that saved but it may have already been overwritten.

Should I follow Chevy Cruze owners around and tell them what a POS they own?

I'm beginning to wonder if I need to mount a real .50 cal in the back for just such an occasion...
What I wish he added at the end:
"You should have bought a CHEVY CRUZE like me instead! They are awesome looking and fun to drive! People are excited about the CHEVY CRUZE and I am proud of who I have become as an adult! I swear to you I have friends!"

But he swiftly drove away because none of that is true and he was crying into his big gulp. Sad.

I’d say Tesla should include a $1,000 coupon for a nearby gun shop with each Cybertruck. If I buy a Cybertruck, I will open carry when I drive it. Fortunately, in my state, I don’t need a license to open carry or conceal carry. My state is also a stand your ground state, so if they try to confront me in a violent way, that will be their last confrontation. I am legally allowed to to use a gun to defend myself without having to attempt to retreat in my state. I’d say if you don’t have these rights in your state, do yourself a favor and buy a different vehicle.

Welcome to the post social media world. People think the world gives a shit about their thumbs up or down on every little matter.

On a related note, I had a Chevy Cruze as a rental car on St. Thomas/St. John. That thing was a piece of crap and I had to figure out how to force it into 1st gear (it wanted to start in 2nd gear) so I could make it up a hill. I've only ever driven one car I disliked more and that was a 3 cyl Mitsubishi Mirage CVT. Giving you the finger was probably the most exciting thing that driver's done in a while...
