Do we know what is the thickness of CT windshield? For magnetic to work, you need to buy for the correct glass thickness. I was thinking of "fish tank" magnetic application, those are much cheaper.

Thank me later

Squeegees

Squeegee handles/poles

Buy a proper professional grade kit, and do all the windows in the house for your wife while you're at it. She deserves a nice surprise.

You're welcome.

Pro tip from someone who has cleaned professionally:

Never spray or apply absolutely anything near your dashboard except for high quality glass cleaner. Preferably nothing ammonia based like Windex.

Stuff like armour all will (literally) vaporize onto the windshield and it's very hard to ever get it back pristine. It will enter into the micro crevasses in the glass and you will need to use a claybar to help get it out.

Does that even work? My windshield has oily stuff on the inside and it's a super-pain at times. Some detailer messed it up (I never spray in the car).

Yep. The reason it's so hard to clean afterwards is the heat (160+ degrees) fuses microscopic layers of contaminates to the crystalline structure of the glass and plastic.

It's a function of removing it at the molecular layer at that point. I cringe every time I see that product any where near a car lol

Cleaning the inside of the CT's windshield can be a challenge being as deeply recessed as it is. I improvised by wrapping a couple of micro fiber cloths around a window cleaning mop on a longish handle, held on by a couple of sprint clips. I spray Windex on the cloth and go to work. Any other methods you've found effective?

The handle is not long enough.
You can buy similar window tools with extendable handles like this one:

Amazon.com: Xindell Extendable Windshield Cleaner: Inside Windshield Cleaning Tool Multi-Use Effortless Interior Car Window Cleaning with Microfiber Pad and Extendable Handle for Auto Glass : Automotive

That said, I think if you position your body correctly the one with the shorter handle would work in a pinch. The cleaning action extends well beyond the handle length due to the way the pad can pivot forward. The leverage becomes more disadvantageous the longer the handle.

I have something similar to this I use for my outside windows at the apartment. It is a collection of handle extensions (I have 108" of them) so you can add/remove to get the length you need.

On mine, the head is long regtangular - more like a sponge-mop head with a microfiber cloth on one side and squeegee on the other. The nice thing about the head is the flexible neck at the head, allowing you to provide pressure where needed. $25 on Amazon. I'll just get a smaller head for this or another set with a removable microfiber without the squeegee.

Just search for "extension cleaning pole" and you will find many options for under $30.

Nice work. Work with what you have and make it work.

You can buy a longer handle for that first triangle one suggested that has the short handle.

The magnetic seems silly. I've never had to clean the outside of my windshield because it gets cleaned when the car gets washed. You just dry off the clean outer windshield with the rest of your car.

I just laid a microfiber cloth over a squeegee after spraying on the glass cleaner. No extra gadgets needed. (squeegee is a must have tool for CT ownership). But admittedly we haven't yet found the ultimate squeegee. Ideally hope to find one that carries both a cloth and the blade while being low profile enough to reach that narrow space
