Maybe this is how both the sise and rear should be. I had no idea you couldn't wash front camera in fsd. Seems like a flaw
It would make sense since FSD could be blinded by the wash fluid and cause problems at on demand rinse. FSD seems to just do a rinse while taking over so seems like order of operatikns thing where other cameras may take over while it rinses at first. Idk.

I have the rear washer installed and it's awesome.
Just a tip - I installed it to my main wiper system instead of the front camera washer (if that makes sense).
You can't use the front camera washer when FSD is engaged which makes this solution almost useless unless you put your car in (P)ark. So, instead, I installed it to my main washer system to wash both my front windshield and rear camera system at the same time.
Worst case scenario, if you change your mind or want to revert to factory, you can repurchase/replace the rear tail gate for $1,800 USD and replace the T-fitting with with a L-fitting. No harm, no foul.
I'm 99% sure It does not void warranty - no one at my service center has ever said anything nor voided any warranty work.

“Unless you put your car in Park” doesn’t seem right. You’re telling me if I disengage FSD and then click the button manually it’s disabled until cycling park and drive and you can’t just renable FSD after?

My apologies, I meant to say "in (D)rive" - No need to put into (P)ark. I fixed it with an edit. Thank you.

I’m surprised by this thread and how everyone is all “yeah! Drill it”. Two pages worth.
Am I the only one who thinks it’s completely bonkers to take a drillbit to multiple parts of your stainless truck for a freaking camera washer?
You guys do you. I modify my truck a fair amount and this strikes me as a terrible idea with minimal payoff for a lot of risk and work.

I understand where coming from but your not drilling through multiple stainless steel parts your just drilling through multiple plastic parts that can easily be replaced only part which would be stainless steel would be the tailgate

Installing the side washers is super easy, any DIYer can do it. You just make a small hole in the plastic wheel fenders. Works, extremely well.

While disengaging FSD is annoying, it's also understandable. For me, in winter, I often get sidecams blocked by road dirt or snow, with alerts. Cleaning is now a quick and easy fix.

The rear cam is only essential when backing up; though annoying if you can't see out. If drilling the rear hole was easy, I'd have done it already; but, I have a rattling rear panel, so I am getting that fixed first.

Plug them into the wiper hose, and then you don't need to disengage FSD

Yeah, I'm going to just keep wiping mine manually.

But the drilling is not a lot of work except on the tailgate. Drilling the metal tailgate will let you know just how hard the hard frickin steel really is.

On the upside, it might be the only time you can say "Drill, baby, drill!" and really mean it!

As to the work of installing this vs. manual wiping, it's probably a wash! 🤷‍♂️

Failed experiment, 3D printed a small box, used a leftover Neodynium magnet, and positioned as close as possible under the rear camera.. even with maxium adjustment on the washer nozzles, it looks like it misses the lens, and it is visible in the rear view camera as well. Trying to see if a non-drill solution is possible..

if this would have worked, the hose could be routed through the plastic trim piece above the camera and connected to the washer, that piece is replaceable, and not nearly as hard to drill through as the tailgate steel.

Lens Lizard can't be positioned close enough to the rear view camera, because of the tailgate, and there are too many turbulents back their to get it aimed correctly. fail, unfortunatley.

I don’t think they are on the market yet. When I traded emails with the inventor, he mentioned they had developed a mount for the CT to address it. He drives one and said it worked well. I'll follow up when I get mine in the fall to confirm.

I emailed back & forth with him. Because the license plate is is extremly recessed, it has to be extended a LOT, which makes the whole thing look goofy.. its a kickstarter, videos here:
