Was that picture taken after the cover was left open during a rainstorm? Because it looks like it.
Lots of reports of the inside getting kinda wet, but that looks soaked.
Few water drops here and there, but your pic makes it look like an IPX-8 rating is going to be required for a suitcase back there.

In Teslas defense, they never claimed it to be waterproof.. It is and was meant to be a secure location for items… hence the name VAULT

This unit still seems to be better than the competition…

I’m not admonishing Tesla for not providing the FSD yet. I get that more cybertrucks on the road = more data = better capability.
I’m just surprised that they can accomplish FSD (in any vehicle they produce) and not provide a solution to why the Vault isn’t waterproof.
I think FSD is amazing (use it regularly on the Model S).
If a company can allow my car to drive itself, how come it can’t waterproof a truck bed?
I have a pickup truck with an aftermarket bed cover (bakflip) and it is pretty water tight with some moist spots, but not water accumulation.

Is the cover sturdy enough to withstand casual theft from the bed? Because in California they're used to cutting through the fabric ones without worry, but they avoid the sturdier covers because it's too much hassle.

Tesla is very good.. but maybe not the Genius level many have been convinced to being as so..

I’m glad we still have a select few who can see thru the FUD (and I don’t mean just the anti-Tesla FUD.. FUD is technically marketing material by the OEMs, Tesla included.)
