Hi everyone;

I have 2 Tesla Solar / Powerwall systems .. work and home. They are both gateway 2 (same firmware); mult wall connector 3. CT foundation series.

Powerwall gateway firmware is 24.20.0

With my $2500 Tesla store credit ordered 4 of the Wall v3 connectors and had them all installed this weekend. They were all updated to latest firmware. Connected fine to wifi, updated and show up on the app.

Home system my gateway isn't connecting to wifi so need to do a reboot to see if that fixes it. Focusing on office system for now.

Work system gateway connects but i get a error "your device is already registered .. contact Tesla support to manage ownership." when i try to add powershare setup via tesla app.

Also on CT tesla app not seeing the powershare screen like I'm supposed to.

Trying to share as much info as possible to help as many in my similar position. I've also done a support request via app and sent an email to the powershare email (waiting for responses).

I've seen maybe Tesla still working on powerwall/solar/powershare combination solutions and that might not be why its working yet.

Is anyone out there with solar/powerwall/powershare have your system working as of 8/26/2024?

True. Guess I'm old school and think in general people are good. Especially in this group where we just want to get things working. Appreciate the email.

I haven't heard anything about powershare being released for Powerwall users yet. I don't think you're doing anything wrong, it's just not out yet.

The powershare gateway without Powerwall/solar is currently the only released version

Also, you will not need to add anything to your account once it gets turned on. The powershare gateway is just for folks that's don't already have a backup gateway installed.

In addition to PWs not yet being supported did you get the Universal Wall Connectors? It is not clear to me if the regular wall units have powershare capability. Do they have the Powershare logo like the UWC and the mobile charger that comes with the truck?

I have your exact same setup at home. My understanding is the same as was mentioned earlier, it will be a software update coming “soon” that will enable PowerShare for those of us with a powerwall.

According to the Tesla website the UWC is not required. The latest gen wall connector is showing as compatible.

Same here, 2 gateway 2 systems with powerwalls and UWCs here on each.

They still quoted end of year for software, hopefully, but we know how that usually goes.

So, if we already have existing Tesla Solar, with gateway and powerwalls, as well as a wall charger (for Model Y), then when we get out FS CT (soon, please, soon!) we shouldn't need to add anymore hardware to 'add' the CT with Powershare?

that is correct. The powerwall gateway you already have to manage powerwalls and solar load balancing includes the necessary hardware for powershare. In the future, it will also have the necessary software, but that software is rolling out to the "powershare only" gateways first.

while you may not have the software yet (or the truck :( , but soon!) to do it with your setup, I think it will be far superior in the future to be able to load balance between solar, powerwalls, truck, home, and grid all simultaneously.

I'm also very much looking forward to it rolling out for powerwall/solar customers!!!

I currently have solar (albeit with Enphase) and I'm interested in adding a PW3 and charger to the setup.

Do you guys know if the vehicle charging part of the setup goes into a gateway or into a PW?

Also, has anyone else here attached a PW3 storage w/ solar panels using a micro-inverters?
