I drove a Ford Lightning before getting the Beast. I loved the Lightning, one of my favorite things was being at a stop light and having someone unassuming next to me, then I'd blow them off the line. I took down sports car after sports car in my Lightning. Everyone I beat off the line had a look of sadness, a look of depression, this dated looking truck just beat them.

Then I decided to buy a CT and get rid of my Lightning. I thought of all my past experience in my Lightning, the embarrassment I caused to the people I was lined up against. If I bought the AWD CT, which is slower than a Lightning, I would become one of those chumps! NO WAY, WAS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN! I got the Beast.

So the question is, do you like looking at a Lightning's taillights as you eat its dust while it screams down the road making you feel weak? If you do, get the AWD, the emasculating experience for you. Now if you'd rather have the Lightning driver next to you feel like he's in a weak outdated truck, GET THE BEAST!

To anyone who ever had to choose between AWD vs Beast....it's not a matter of which is better....it's a matter of how much money you're willing to part with, period. Now quit asking stupid question, and look at your bank account.
Not really, I have the money and decided on the AWD because of the locker differential set up compared to the beast. I like to off-road more than top speed to 130, that's my reason and I saved a ton of money. My bank account is healthy.??‍♂

If off roading is your high priority....you got the wrong vehicle. CT sucks at off roading, far inferior than a true off roading vehicle like the Raptor. CT is super great on smooth surfaces only. I own both.

Correct. Some of these prognostications put the “stew” in stupid.

Or … expending his own funds and conducting his own calculations about the exact fucking car that he wanted. What a weird post. Some of you are, seriously, not OK.

You're right, this post is dumb. There's nothing to discuss here. It's super simple...if you have enough money for the Beast, get the Beast.....if you can't afford the Beast, get the AWD....and if you just want to look like you're driving a CT, then get the single motor. The end.

I have to disagree, I've taken the AWD offloading and it does great for me I love the truck and that's all that matters. By the way I did upgrade the tires and made a big difference. Forgot to mention that.

That's the exact vehicle I wanted! Lol yea some of these guys are not ok. It's not about the money, it's a choice I made after doing some research, and didn't want to overpay.
Can't they just be happy another cybertruck was purchased? Isn't this "Cybertruck forums"

I have a non FS AWD. I will do $300 in monthly supercharging as I will be driving a lot (30k in a year). And I pay $99 for FSD monthly. My financing is at 4.59%. If I went with a CB I’d get free supercharging and FSD but I’d pay ~$360/M more. Which means- it would be a better deal for me to get the CB over time, especially since the FSD cost will go up once it is full FSD.

If I had to do it again, I’d get the CB because of the above cost analysis. but… BUT I hear the CB is clunky as a daily driver. AWD is smooth as butter and has more pickup than any car I’ve owned before.
Hmmmm..... I drive a Beast daily, if I want to tone it down, I put it on Chill or the middle one. But, I never drive it on those lesser modes, because I am all the time having too much fun with the Beast mode. I only drive it on that mode, and I never noticed it being "clunky". If I want to blow the doors off a Corvette, I don't want to fumble around switching it to BEAST mode, I just floor it and watch the Corvette in my rear view camera.

There was a thread here about the Beast being clumsy and it was pretty rare if I remember correctly and mostly an early VIN issue. My Beast has never had the issue either.

WHY IS THIS POST WEIRD
All i did is ask for information between the 2 CT. People here have them both and why not get informed for free and why not ask about the money side? It doesn't matter how much money you have it matters to spend it wisely and for things that makes you happy. AWD OR BEAST giving new forum members information should be given with heart and dignity and correctly not making them feel weird about their questioning.

I went with the AWD as I wanted mechanical locking differentials front and rear (and since it seems to matter for some, had nothing to do with affordability).

The CB has a virtual locker for the two rear motors that sounds more like torque vectoring and not actually acting like a locker. I dont want wheels acting independently of each other when I am expecting all wheels to move in lock step with each other regardless of traction.

WHY IS THIS POST WEIRD
AWD OR BEAST giving new forum members information should be given with heart and dignity and correctly not making them feel weird about their questioning.
This post is only weird because the question itself is weird. Nothing wrong with you asking the question, but don't be surprised when you get a bunch of "weird" replies from everyone with a BEAST, or AWD, posturing, and defending their decision for choosing that one, or, regretting not getting the other one. If you count the examples, many who got a AWD admitted if they had to do it over again, they would get the BEAST. (That is what I meant by commenting earlier that @IntoTheRain916 was in the minority...he is happy with his AWD, and good for him, it's his life, and his choice....but many who get the AWD regret not getting the CB (not all, but it happens, as attested by many in this thread).

IT IS A PERSONAL CHOICE.

My attempts at humor with over-the-top, fantastical, examples was my "weird" way of expressing this message. Some got the humor, but most probably didn't.

Get whatever suits you for whatever reasons suit you...it's no one else's business why you choose the one you want. But, we did give you plenty of valuable feedback in this thread, to throw into your calculator to determine what is best for you.

Good luck!
