I would like to give a shout out to Tesla, the team that engineered and built it and Elon Musk for making it all happen. The Cybertruck is absolutely the most amazing vehicle that I've ever driven (and I've driven some really cool vehicles). When people ask I tell them, "It handles like a sports car, rides better (and is quieter) than my Escalade, accelerates like a super car and does it all on all terrain tires!" What's not to love?!?!

I've had my CyberBeast for a year and a half now and it's my second EV ever (my first was a Hummer EV edition 1). Cybertuck is the clear winner here as the steering and handling (and acceleration) FAR surpasses the Hummer on the road. The electronics are also VASTLY superior as is the ability to drive itself. I'm glad that I don't have to worry about paint and shopping carts, tree branches or anything else that might scratch my paint. BTW, I've only ever sprayed my truck off at the car wash 2 times since I've owned it (that's the extent of me washing my truck), the rain washes it off more than anything.

I DO NOT like to hear all of the negativity that the CT gets and don't think it's fair. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE MY TRUCK and if I wrecked it and had a total loss, I'd buy another one just like it in a half of a second!

To all of the people that flip me off, throw s*** at me, scream derogatory names at me, ect... I drive a vehicle that is (for me) VASTLY superior to whatever the hell it is that YOU drive. Perhaps you should consider the possibility that you're just obtuse and follow the sheeple that listen to fake news. Why don't you take a drive in a Cybertruck and then you'll have a better position to make claims about it.

Grow up. People are afraid of change (not me) and there is something on the horizon that is better than what we're accustomed to. Embrace it, you won't be disappointed.

I'm 78 and this is the only vehicle I have owned that I get excited everytime I drive and I have a model Y and had a model 3.

I wonder why the media never calls the Ford Raptor that sells less volume a flop? It's a high-end truck that most people either can't afford or don't want to spend the extra money on.

The Cybertruck offers great value but not enough people can afford it to make it a big seller. I'm just glad Tesla spent the time and money to develop such a magnificent machine.

CT is the greatest vehicle ever made. It’s the ultimate do everything vehicle in my opinion. It may not be the best of the best in a particular category, but overall it racks up more points than any other vehicle if we create a points system all the way from towing/hauling to 1/4 mile times.

That being said, unfortunately it is a flop to some degree. Tesla envisioned this thing replacing Ford/Chevy/Ram trucks as work trucks, and that’s clearly not the case. Of 1.5 million trucks sold in the last year or so, only 50K or so were CTs. The price keeps most potential buyers out of the club. I’m sure the price is justified, but it also means they won’t sell as many.

At the unveiling, Elon said that in order to solve sustainable energy, Tesla needed a pickup truck. Unfortunately CT hasn’t yet and probably won’t ever move the needle in that direction.

That will change over time. I still believe that.
Why? Because consumers despite what corporations think are not dumb. They are self serving. When people realize all the objective things we already know about these trucks, they will vote with wallets.

Perhaps as word spreads about cost of ownership of EVs, that might be true. Right now people see an $80K truck and look no further, not even realizing it could save them money in the long run.

I’d argue those people have a bias to start with but Tesla hasn’t done enough to convince them either.
The RWD trim is weak sauce.
The truth is exactly as you say, they should have been taking aim at the market share for the Toyota Tacoma, not the raptor SVT.

There are not enough people driving them to find out what they are. I wasn't really interested and didn't understand. A friend got his and convinced me to get mine. I was 50/50 figuring I'd sell it if it wasn't that great.

Now, yeah I don't want to drive any other vehicles. ROFL

Tesla needs to get people in them and driving them to understand the leap the cybertruck is over any other vehicle. We know mainstream will never agree now and will always fight it. Not just because of Elon but also big money from the traditional auto industry and the lobbying they've paid for.

Or at least provided alternatives to both right from the get go. They sort of only replaced the Raptor/TRX, nothing else until recently.

I’m strangely okay with the RWD. Only thing I’d hardcore miss is the air suspension, and even that I could learn to live without.

My complaint isn’t that it’s stripped down so much as that it’s not cheap enough. Not for what you get.
The glass half full folks on here say it shows what a great “value” the AWD is but I guess I’m a little more of an Eeyore than that.
I see it as about $15k overpriced to achieve the goal it’s meant to achieve.
