No update but my estimated completion is Jan 3rd. Sucks missing Christmas and NYE. But it’s a good laugh for everyone else at my ski resort who told me endlessly what a bad decision this was ?. Hard to defend at moment ?

I am guessing no word yet? Is it showing up on the app?

Hi all mine also bricked last sunday, i purchase a new 48v battery and the ct also discharge ir, i cant enter service mode since the truck have a warning of disarm alarm, i hope these will fix soon.

why did you buy a new 48v battery? It should be covered under warranty.

(Unsure how this became a 50% vs 80% conversation, but here is an update from me, the OP)

After a week, the truck was returned to me via flatbed (service station is about 100minutes from my house).

CAUSE: Tesla states that the truck bricked due to a "body controller" which wasn't fully seated and it couldn't send messages to the rear body controller.

Here's the filthy truck getting dropped off in front of my my ski club - came back full of muddy finger prints on steering wheel and white interior :-|

So, I drive it normally that afternoon, to a store, later to a resturant. Next morning I go food shopping and guess what happens? Truck startys drives live sh!t and a bunch of errors start coming up: POWER TRAIN ISSUE, BATTERY ISSUE, HIGH VOLTAGE ISSUE, GEAR BOX FLUID ISSUE, so on.

So, Tesla advises me to let them send ANOTHER flat bed.

So there we are New Years Eve loading the truck back up for its now weekly 100 miles tow

- Christmas - New Years was a monster headache.
- Truck bricks Dec 21st due to a wire lose
- Get it back Dec Dec 30th (9 days).
- Next day truck has to get towed back on Dec 31st.

I am now in NJ and truck is up north of Albany for Service... Fun family holiday ski trip

Oh man! the outside can be clean but the interior might be very difficult.

That's 3 of us with left side controller issues. Mine was replaced and so far so good. You should point it out thta you know of 2 others with the same issue. Mine was serviced in League City Texas if that helps your service center.

hey in any case do you have the invoice or part number of the exact part the change I have the same problem but I dont have a service center close to me.

If you change it yourself I understand you will need to re-do your card keys as well.

Update: Tesla tech noted that they "could not verify customer concern". Sort of absurd because I sent them screenshots, etc. In same note, they added that the "air suspension system needed to be cycled to clear alerts". And closed with Vehicle is operating as designed.

In my follow-up, they said my two errors from other Cybertrucks (re: above) have "no correlation to what my truck is experiencing. I think they are only solving for the very specific reason why the truck is in service and not looking previous events/issues. Given it was literally bricked ten days ago, and it is immediately having new issues, it should be considered. But what do i know....

In any case, they are shipping it down from Albany to a service center closer to me to pick-up.

This is strike 2 of 3. If I suffer another fault that requires a towing situation, I am telling them to keep it.

I must add - I really like the service app and how the communications work in the app with details etc documented. Pretty cool. Wish I didn't know about it at the same time .

I don't know if I should be glad/sad that there are 3 people on this single thread having the same issue. Same thing happened to my CT this past weekend on a ski/snowboard trip.

Completely unresponsive. Borrowed a 12v jumper from folks plowing snow nearby. Manually opened the frunk and used the 12v jumper to atleast get the doors and screen working. This would only get me a couple of minutes before it would brick again. Of course it happens on a Sunday in snow/icing temps at the top of a mountain (after I check out from our airbnb with my two little girls). Tesla roadside can't help with trouble shooting but sends out a tow. Tow initially couldn't get to the car due to ice/compacted snow.

We tried feeding the 48v battery as much as juice with a 12v portable jumper (recharged the jumper x 5 times because it would only last a few minutes in the cold). We were hoping we could atleast get the CT awake enough to a limited drive mode to meet the flat bed tow. This failed. Aside having a couple of minutes to get in and out of tow mode, nothing was functional.

Ended up having a plow truck repeatedly plow the drive way, treat it with salt, and wait until the flat bed could safely get down the hill to my car. Not enough room to pull the car in a straight line plus a car is parked next to us. So we end up slinging/dragging it from the back hitch 45 - 60 degrees (worked out since it was basically on ice). Then pulling it forward in tow mode.

Took 7 hours. Hitched a 2hr ride to closest SC with the tow truck. Another 2.5 hours uber to home. Got the whole thing vlogged.

Tesla said service is complete today and this was the explanation.

I fear the same thing that is happening to OP. Driving it back 100 miles only to find it bricking again half way.
