I agree that one on the left looks like a MY casting. I was speaking specifically about the tuning fork (directly beneath the right arrow head)scraps. Those, I haven't seen before.

Those "tuning forks" are the downcomer channels that supply molten aluminum to all parts of the casting evenly. They're cut away and recycled after the casting cools.
Here are two photos of front Model Y castings, one with the waste pieces still attached, another with the clean casting after trimming.

BRILLIANT! I knew it wasnt a functional part although I was entriely sure what it was.. Haven had any experience with high pressure aluminum casting , you know .

my man... you just found Uncle Muskie a new way to make another dollar! He could take these and sell them .. I KNOW he could... or somone will theive them out of the dumpster and sell them on Flebay or Petsy

I'm not above dumpster diving, but that's recyclable metal with market value and not really "trash".

However, aluminum is about $0.50/pound, and I'm sure Elon could sell those as "fine art" for 10,000 DOGE easy

Would those off cuts have the same integrity as the rest of the cast?

Why don’t they make the downcomer channels in the shape of suspension parts?
