No real details given in the video regarding charging location. Presumably a V3 Station judging by the 250kW peak. No details on if the vehicle was preconditioned, although I'm assuming so based on hitting 250kW at low SoC as soon as he plugged in. Exterior temperature on the display is listed as 73F.

Also, interestingly:
Tesla Cybertruck Cybertruck Charging Curve (Recorded by Owner) 1703922514443

382Wh/mi=2.6mi/kWh which means if we multiply that by 123kWh available (Someone correct me if I'm wrong, I'm not sure of the percentage usable on the pack), we get 319.8mi.

His truck is a Dual Motor w/ the larger AT tires I think. If we assume the Current Drive portion of the trip, which he didn't explain in the video, but I think it's logical to assume it was probably a short drive from his home/work to the Supercharger w/ it preconditioning, we get 2.1mi/kWh, which gives us 258mi assuming 123kWh usable battery capacity.

OurCyberLife posted a video of the charging curve. 40 minutes from 14% to 80% (a normal person would likely not charge higher than that)

I'm too lazy to math so chatgpt did it

About $30 spent (this is to 90%)

at 250kW it shows 658 mi/hr

For those Wh/mi detectives, he had a 9 mile trip that took 18 mins and user 475wh/mi AND 57 mi since last charge with a Wh/mi of 382

I'm no charging curve guru but the drop to 150kw happened pretty fast. ?‍♂

Question for whoever paid attention during the delivery event. Since the pack basically splits in two, when the new chargers come out, it wont do that right? And theoretically will charge at a higher voltage? This should lead to a better charging curve right? To some degree?

Odd that the outlets dont work while charging

They will play it safe for quite a while as they build more confidence in charge curves. The 4680s have been in development for a few years, but they need a fleet of data in the real world before feeling comfortable enough to play with the curve.

This has been a thing with all new platforms.

76% battery aka 93kW took over 50mins - charge to go from 14-90%

Of that 50mins only 19 of it was 250kwh - really low high charging speed for such a large battery

With current usage stats that is 50mins of charging for 143 mins of driving - aka a lot of travel time on a trip would be charging

All of that unfortunately aligns with data on charge times coming from other people posting info, which is not good.

Oh yea and this was with a preconditioned battery with outside weather of 73 F about perfect conditions......

Well, somehow, I think it was a blessing that Tesla didn't send me an invite for the FS. I'll let them work out the bugs with those willing to be the 'trailblazers' by owning the FS.
I am a Rivian's 'trailblazers' having owned 2 R1Ts and 1 R1S...I'm still reeling over the somewhat trying experiences o_O??...
But, nonetheless, I'm still a huge fan of Tesla and Rivian and will continue to buy their stocks and products?
I guess I am a closet masochist!? ?...
In the mean time, think I'll just order a 2024 Model X Plaid and get it deliver next month ?

Hot off the press! I just received my CT invite, canceled my MX Plaid and hello to my CyberBeast ???

Why didn't you use his actual usage stats? Lol

It's not normal. The consumption is both higher than expected and higher than the Tesla stated range consumption.
Under 400 wh/mile for his stats since last charge doesn't seem too bad

Because his stats only show a tiny sample size as opposed to the 3,500+ miles of driving averages getting reported.
9miles worth of data vs 3,500+ one will represent the average a little better....

Remember peeps, since the battery does switching magic to charge at lower voltage, once v4 comes out it should be better (im thinking it wouldn't need to switch like that)

But I've charged at a supercharger like 6 times in 2023 so the curve isnt super important to me personally.

I guess you'll have to not get the all terrain tires if you're trying to be a highway master

That is for an in-town drive
How much highway driving are you planning on doing? It's an EV truck in the winter, on 35" all terrains.
