I was supposed to pick up today but received a text on Saturday saying that have to cancel. In the text, it said it could take a week or two to reschedule pick up date. Containment hold to replace wiper motor.

I’m disappointed in this process. I received a VIN back on 5/10/24.
We better get them before the end of the month

Exact same thing here on the other side of coast in San Francisco Bay Area... "Containment hold to replace wiper motor." Really disappointed

I was suppose to pick up on the 15th and I called Tesla and told them my payment with 3rd party bank started so they were going to have someone from the sc call me and that didn’t happen and I just refreshed my app and it gave me a deliver day for tomorrow

Do you mind telling us what your VIN is? Trying to see which ones are affected and which aren’t. Also, keep us up to speed in if you take delivery tomorrow. Thanks in advance!

Odd. I wonder if any of us earlier VINs will get something or just wait until the wiper goes bad... Or if it's a spotty batch. VIN 12900 range here.

Mine is a low 18XXX's and configured on the 12th, Vin on the 13th then hold. The message through the app (I assume is the SC) said that the truck was loaded in TX and should be to Charlotte by the end of this week. They did mention the containment due to the "wiper part replacement" that they hope to have more information this week on. Ill be curious to see the progress.

My VIN is high 10000’s. And if I read correctly, starting July 1st, any NJ EV deliveries will pay $250 annual fee for the next 4 years. I’m praying our deliveries are sooner rather than later.

To top it off, I’ve waited this long and now apparently a non FS cyber beast can be had for $20k less starting next quarter. I might as well cancel and pay less. Smh

I have an 80xx vin. I live in the desert so I don’t use the wipers often. I have used it a few times to clean the windshield.

This is true, I was hoping to get it before this happened but that seems unlikely now. It also increases $10/year until it reaches $300 if I'm remembering that correctly.

Never had any issues with my wiper I used it a few times already and it seems to work great. I was told by an early delivery CT owner who got her CT in January (Tesla employee) that the wiper not working (specifically the spray) was her only issue with the truck. I hope mine keeps performing as it should but so far after about 1,500 miles the CT has been troubled free but for a door opening switch that is likely on its way out.

My vin (assigned 5/7) is just under 12000 and delivery is pending the wiper issue. So I’d say earlier VINs are not necessarily excluded.

My SC in Houston just told me that my Beast isn't affected (VIN 18355).
