How do you buy a car in the store? Do they actually have real paper that you can sign?
They used to. Last I heard everything is digital. Tesla has also in the past sold the cars they took as trade ins 'as in' from back lots, too.

Anyhow, it's irrelevant where you sign, as California treats the point of sale as where you take possession of the vehicle.

I really don't understand your argument. You have a specific meaning for a word which doesn't match how it's used in other states.

It IS how it is used in ALL states.

The Point of Sale is indeed the delivery location and that's how the vehicle is first taxed.

Tesla sales wholesale. No intervening entities. Dealers are intervening entities (Resalers).

Yep, I'm in a similar boat. Paid in full, insurance activated, the delivery window came and went, zero communication from them, not even a text, so I went to the dealership to ask.
I think this is an area Tesla could easily improve on. While they seem to be focussed on Robotaxi and introducing new tech, they have lost sight of the fact that they are a big car company now and need to have the customer service to match. The customer service is weak, very weak, because of simple lack of communication. It puts a bad taste in the mouth of all customers involved. And we, of course, are some of Tesla's most die hard fans, so it makes no sense. When I look at the share price tumbling, I know why.
PSTRYKER I LIKE THAT RACK FOR YOUR DIRT BIKE ON THE REAR. WHAT BRAND IS IT? NEED IT FOR MY CT. OR A DOUBLE IF THEY HAVE THEM.

What is there to keep a secret? They don't want employees blabbing incorrect information. Just better to be vague, legally.

Vague? They have $108,000 of my money and i have no truck. I Deserve specifics. I had a 10:30 am Saturday 13 delivery date. I wired the funds at 4pm on Friday. At 6pm Tesla had a young sales person call me who either had no information or was not permitted to share what info they had, either way he simply told me that they had to postpone my delivery. When i asked when it would be delivered he told me it wouldn’t be long but he didn't know. When i asked for my money back he told me it would take over a week to receive my money back.

No info is not acceptable behavior. Needless to say, I expressed how frustrated and unhappy I was with the situation to the unfortunate young sales person.

The whole process has been handled badly by Tesla From the April 13th, right thru the writing of this pose. I still have no idea when my truck will be delivered. Sure, I can search the Internet for information but no one from Tesla has officially gotten back to me to let me know when the vehicle is going to be delivered. They have my money and have made no commitments to deliver the product that I’ve been waiting over 2 years to receive and might i add that paid an $20,000.00 premium so that I could get it before god knows when.

If you look at it from another perspective, lack of communication a complete waste.

There’s no way that this situation could have or should have been kept from existing and prospective truck owners, in today’s world there’s just no way For something like this to have been kept out of the public domain

orders were given to cancel deliveries on Friday at 4 o’clock and by Saturday the Internet was already talking about soap and accelerator petal problems. To have kept This information from existing owners and prospective owners for even one minute was foolish on Tesla’s part They should’ve been savvy enough to know that this was going to get out and instead of letting the Internet go crazy and speculate about why delivers were suddenly without notice halted. Tesla should’ve immediately announced to everyone exactly what the reason for halting deliveries was, especially the poor kid who had to call me and listen to me chew him out. The way Tesla has handled this wasn’t fair to perspective owners, employees of Tesla, and the stockholders

FranklyI’m very let down that this situation wasn’t handled better and frankly Don’t see the validity in the post above

I just stopped by my Service/Delivery Center. First they told me that they have the jig and will perform the repair on Wednesday. I talked to a very nice service manager and he tried to get the rivet in today…

He comes back from the shop and says that they actually don’t have the jig, and that they aren’t doing the rivet anymore… apparently Tesla sent an email to all SCs without the jig saying that they would receive replacement pedals instead. No ETA and they are expecting 2-5 pedals. THEY HAVE 8 TRUCKS! Fucking incredible.

Hitch bike carriers like this are typically called Joe Haulers and there are all sorts of them out there, including doubles so you are in luck.
Mine was from harbor freight and was around a hundred bucks. I have gotten a lot of great use out of it.

Agree wholeheartedly. If I wasn't so loyal and loved this company like I do, Id be even more upset. I had similar delays when I bought my 3 and Y and actually expected some kind of delay with the CT based on past experience. Doesn't make it any better thought. I feel you!

Long time Tesla investor, owned 7 Teslas and helped 15+ friends and family convert, and can not confidently recommend the brand ever again. I’m no longer excited for the Cybertruck. I have a buyer for my Model X in limbo.

I don’t know, I’ve been with Tesla through thick and thin and have never experienced such stupidity. I’m canceling my Roadster order right now.

This is not good. We are all in bad situations and Tesla is not delivering. I sold my Ram truck a few days ago, so now I don't have a vehicle and am having to juggle rides with my wife while the CT is paid in full and insured. I feel like if we pay in full we should at least be treated to communication. I expected at least a message this weekend from Tesla but nothing! My CT has been here in my city for over a week in Tesla purgatory and not a peep from Tesla about when I can get it. It is very hard not to get mad about this but I am trying my best to stay calm. Gonna head to the dealership, again, today to try to get some answers.
Tesla, if you are listening, we have built our schedules and finances around getting this $100k+ vehicle at a certain time based on your provided delivery window. We understand that the accelerator issue was a curve ball. If the delivery window needs to change please message us frequently and let us know exactly what is going on and when we can expect our delivery. You are causing distress to your most loyal customers by not doing so.
Rant done.
