It is ok to put ceramic film on the front windshield of the Cybertruck?

I went to a tint shop to have this done and they refused to do it because they say it will damage the vehicle. When they use water during the application and squeegee it off there is no where for it to go, they said it would rundown and damage electronics and the battery. They said even when they use towels and absorbent rope it is not enough to catch all the water.

Anyone else heard this? Is this a concern because I know other shop in the area are doing it.?
Not sure of your location, but we at Unplugged Performance | Bulletproof AutoSpa in So. Califorinia, do this all the time with XPEL Prime XR Plus 70% Tint. if you are in the SoCal area, we would love to help you out.

They may not know how to do it. I have mine tinted, first one for my local shop. They knew it was coming and had to buy some special tools. They event went the to Tesla service center nearby to look inside a CT (if they had one) to get an idea of what they needed to do for the tint.

I have a 30% ceramic on the front for about 1.5 months and no issues so far.

Llumar is what my Tint shop uses so I went with Llumar air 80 on the front windshield. They have done all my cars for the past 15 years with no issues. They do a lot of Teslas and the installer said this was easier than the Model X, I think because of the curvature.

I tint the windsheid on all of my cars. Hard to see in, but looks almost clear looking out. Blocks heat and glare. Any good tint shop can do it.

Do you have any pictures of your WS tint? What brand did you go with for the 35% ceramic?

Mine was done using Xpel ceramic at 70%. Looks mostly clear. No issues. Some shops want to charge for extra wide roll, but it can be installed sideways with standard width and looks/works great.
same here, xpel, no issue at all
mine had no visible tint as NYS is strict with tinting, heat rejection is amazing
only challenge is, shop went over the NYS reg, crazy, one year later, had to cut into the film to remove the old and put in the new
