I was not able to verify this assertion by AutoForecast Solutions, but starting production Oct 2023 doesn't seem out of line. Elon recently said, when asked when CyberTruck production would start, "hopefully 2023".

Oct 2023 would fall in that prediction by Elon of "hopefully 2023".

Predictions are all over the place.

Heres what I know and trust: There is no 8K ton Gigapress, there are still only a couple prototypes, no evidence a Cybertruck line is coming online in the next 6 months. No evidence 4680 production is online in Texas.

When we see those pieces in place we can make a good estimate of start time. Aside from that, the only reliable source is Tesla official or Musk. Everything else is just random noise.

Besides that, we know the media sees every day Tesla goes beyond January 1st, 2023 as a delay.

And if Tesla delivered one truck on the last week of December 2023 they'd never be given the same slack as GM and their 1 truck per month Hummer delivery rate.

Hey, c'mon, we know at least ten were delivered. The recall said so.

Love Tesla. Love Elon.
The issue is Elon promised the Cybertruck at the end of 2020.
Then he bumped it to the end of 2021.
And....then it was sometime in 2022.
Now Elon has said, and only committed to, "hopefully" in 2023.

So it is totally fair if the media gives him grief if it doesn't start production until Oct 2023. Totally fair. That would be almost 4 years since he announced the Cybertruck. That is a long time.

In the meantime, Tesla is doing fantastic with building out the Charger Network.

Oct 2023 for Vin 00000000001
But depending where you are on the list, yours would hit the driveway in 2025?

This is not the kind of news I want to hear, whether or not it is true. Very depressing. I would prefer rumors that have Cybertruck production starting 'this' October. What do you-all say?

Here's a screenshot of the order page that Tesla had up the night of the reveal. Notice the dates in the bottom right. Originally they were saying the single would be first to production in late 2021. With AWD models starting production in late 2022. Yes, they changed it up later, but at no time did Elon promise the Cybertruck at the end of 2020. That would have been 1 year from 11/21/19 the night of the reveal.

Every time I hear news like this, even if dubious, I feel even better about my Model Y purchase.

Every delay is money I'm already saving, especially since Spielberg, Leno and the like are getting those first cybertrucks anyway.
