Yeah, but can you power your home with it?
No but neither can my CT at this time, despite having all the equipment installed. And the sub-$40k F250 CAN tow my boat for 300+ miles, while the CT cannot make 100 miles. Right tool for the job…

Really dude? I’ve had a couple dozen Ford pickups, currently have three as work trucks on my farm. Never been stranded once. Good service, very capable trucks. Right tool for the job…

This is going to create a whole new mess possibly, deliveries out to Sept, BUUUUTTTT is this because people are throwing $250 down as an FSD transfer hedge, a just in case it goes back to $70 hedge.

Is this going to be like the initial orders where those of us who reserved the first day were still 300,000+ in line and wouldn't get our trucks until 2028. Or are these orders going all the way through, I hope the later is the case.
Been a reservation holder since day 1 in 2019. As a 30 year old (right now) with a child in daycare, the price was the problem for me. This is exactly what I've been waiting for. My order is definitely going through and I believe a lot will.

Good stuff, great vehicle and hopefully FSD will be good enough to pick up your kid from daycare by the end of the year.

Yeah. I had a Mustang II in high school that left me stranded so much, I gave it away.

First On Race Day
A buddy of mine showed me a copy of a police report that his cousin who is a deputy wrote about a guy in an F150 they found on the shoulder of the highway engine dead, keys in the ignition and lights on. Report stated. “ The occupant was FORD … “ I asked Billy, “ Shouldn’t that state he was driving a Ford? “ Billy laughed at me and said
“ No you DA, that means “ Found On the Road Dead, FORD !” 😵

You're embarrassing yourself. The Ford F-Series has been the best-selling truck for 49 consecutive years and the best-selling vehicle OF ANy KIND overall for 44 consecutive years.

In 2025, the F-Series sold 828,832 trucks, increasing sales by 8.3% and outselling its nearest competitor by 250,000 units. Its EV model, since discontinued, sold far more than the CT. It's hybrid truck models sold twice as many last year as the CT has sold in its entire history.

I've heard that "fix or repair daily" meme since the 1950s. It's BS. Ford's trucks, model for model, outsell every competitor by well over double, mostly to repeat customers. I bought my first new Ford in 1979, have bought many since. Never had a problem beyond a few recalls. Never. I tow heavy, run them hard in farm use on a saltwater aquaculture operation, have never had any rust or other issues common with GM and Dodge (Stellantis).

I realize that truck loyalty is kind of cultlike, so don't get twisted up on this. Buy what you like. I have no Ford loyalty, have no other reasonable choice. My farm is in Accomack County Virginia. There's exactly one new car dealership in this tiny rural place. My only option for a new truck within 60 miles in either direction is a small two-car showroom Ford dealership that's 9 miles from my place.

We've had excellent experience with them and their products. I have no option anyway because we are high volume truck buyers in the context of the area, and need our staff to be able to run them for service, etc. There are no other dealership choices. We're happy to have them here and completely satisfied with the product and relationship. You say it's luck. I don't feel lucky, just respected as a customer who gets what we pay them for.

I dunno but it may be more embarrassing to have a hyperbolic response to some internet comedy. I’ve never understood why so many have such an emotional attachment towards a brand. But my kids tell me that I have undue expectations for their levels of maturity.
