I have a theory that you're not going to like.

When I bought my first and only new car in 1992, it had these curious "fangs" in the air intake, like this:

There's a set under the rear bumper too. They're tie-down hooks, and serve no other purpose than to "tie down" the vehicle while being transported. I'm baffled that they were not removed at the port, nor at the dealer, since they collectively add almost 6 pounds and have no function.

Since the Cybertruck prototypes are being shipped inside box trucks, they're probably using these attachments as bolt-down points, and simply didn't remove them after shipping.

That said, I'm guessing that the CT will have the mounting points under the fenders to use for optional accessory attachment (winch, plow, cattle-bar, etc.) but will NOT have those ankle-busting protrusions as stock.

As good a guess as any. We shall see......

I was going to start a new thread but I think this is as good of a place as any. I'm not sure these are any more information that what was already posted but I'll try to include some that show something different. Sorry about the lighting - I didn't get to the CT area until after dark so they are not as good as if I got them during daylight. Note: The BAW is back...
The large black bag on the floor is ~15 3/4" (405mm) but remember it's closer to the camera. Tesla guy said the tires are 35" as reported earlier in this thread.
Sail storage appears to be missing - UNLESS it is accessible from inside the bed. This CT was behind "ropes" and was "hands off" only.
Those strange posts/pillars were on the front and back. My only GUESS was to add an additional bumper - but even at the time, I thought that was a stupid idea (it blocks the hitch in the back for one thing). Mounts for tow hooks makes more sense.

I like how you can see the hood stop is misaligned causing the grille to be low in your picture . I think this confirms grille goes up with hood.

Before you can get help, with Cyberholm Cyndrome is you have to admit you have a problem.

Have you begun to judge the world through low a polyhedron lens?

I love the fangs! Better than ones that hang down from the body.

I sheered the ones on my Civic off, tho. Clean off, like I'd taken a grinder to 'em.

shout out tesla raj for the sick live chasing it down.
First comment - LOVE the sensible wheel and tire combo! The 35’s on the prototype should be an “off road” package only, put regular wheels on it for maximum range and on road performance. It’s looking like a real production car now

That’s a beefy lower control arm.

The shock mount bolt/nut protruding from the bottom of the control arm may be an issue when taking the CT off road.

I can’t wait for the future YouTube Monroe and Associates Cybertruck tear down video.

I was a little bit surprised no one commented on the Roadster and Semi photo that made it into my photo list. The Roadster is much more pretty in person than I imagined it to be. If I ever win the lottery - I'm getting one in that exact color. Amazing. Photos do not do it justice.

Now back to your regularly scheduled Cybertruck forum... ;)

I keep thinking that, too. And then I realize "oh crap, they're going to destroy a Cybertruck" ?

Lol you sound like my son. I really like the Roadster, even value for money wise, but it's not really a country driving car, and would be a shame to just have parked in a garage for Sunday drives. I've sort of "grown out" of performance vehicles, especially since moving back to Oz from Germany, in that they really don't add much value if you aren't allowed to drive them according to their true capability. You can in Germany, on the autobahn etc, but even then you still really need to go on a track to get the most out of it.

That sort of leaves the other problem with EV's in that their range is severely reduced by higher speed. But I suppose that is only a problem if you are actually allowed to drive that fast at all. Last time we were there, a few months ago, we did a 320mile trip in 3:10 on half a tank of diesel fuel in a Q7 at night. You can get places quick like that at the right time of the day, but having a roadster would really need having the right roads nearby to use it, and a decent supercharger network to boot.

They're literally the same ones on the 2019 prototype? You can see the pattern matches the covers they had originally.

Don’t worry, it’ll be @John K s truck. He still gets his pen.
It will probably be the only way they'll be able to remove him from that midgate window stunt he's planning. That or you'll need a BAW for the rear window too. Lol

You can’t tell they’re smaller and a different tread pattern all together?
