depends on how many are available for rent within a couple hours drive of your location.

I would never ever rent a vehicle I care about on there especially a brand new one where any repairs or parts are surely many months out. I have several friends with exotics that have had terrible outcomes

It's well worth $300 for the day, just to test drive and see if it can actually fulfill your needs.

300 is definitely cheaper than 60k and finding out it's not for you.

Renting for a day or a weekend, certainly not, for these people to mistreat it, it won't happen to me to commit this stupidity!!!

I remember years ago, while riding with friend in HIS rental car. As he maneuvered towards a "short cut" to his destination, I pointed out a few obstacles that might thwart his plan. I never forgot his response, "No curb too high, no ditch too deep for a rental car."
(Note to self, do not buy a used rental car.)

This is definitely an opportunity if an early delivery. By the time I get mine there will be hundreds on Turo.

Would I rent one sure price? There was a Fisker on there for a hundred bucks. I wouldn't pay $300 a day even for just one day. But something in between.

I've rented several S's between $65 and $125 between 8-5 years ago. (Before we got Tesla's)

Maybe Tesla can create a rental fleet in select markets. More of a 1 day maximum that allows people to test it first hand , but not abuse it in a real work scenario. Something that they can rent cheap enough and then give a refund toward a purchase agreement. Sort of like the $100 deposit we already have these last 4 years.

I’ll mention this plan to Elon when I see him on the 30th
