Hello folks,
I am back again with some thoughts on using FS CT for almost 6 months and driving around for 15k miles. I have had some great numbers so far driving this beast almost 110 miles a day for last 6 months. Mind you I reside in IL and about 90 miles of my daily drive is on I90 at 65 to 70 MPH. So far temperature here in IL has been ranging from 40F to 85F. My avg energy consumption has been 357 Wh/mile. That is solid.

So far, I haven’t had any issues.. as some have experienced. I hadn’t had any recall notices yet either. Software & Hardware experience has been amazing! FSD has been superb! I have been driving teslas for 8 years now and so far I can say this has been the best implement. I have used it Door to door 110 miles on many occasions without having a single glitch. I have used it in city, suburbs, Hwys and it is so smooth. The most interesting is the roundabouts and this beast nails it every time. As you can tell, I am very happy with it.

I have had many compliments, smiles on peoples faces, ended up with so many conversations with strangers. My patients love it, we always have some type of conversation on it almost everyday.

Knocking on the wood, I have been amazed & happy with this beast so far.. haven’t had any trouble and I hope everyone gets similar experience with their CTs.

It's refreshing to see posts like TechDoc's. Let's post and see more of them!

Negativity Bias is a large factor in the type of posts we see here and in most internet communication platforms - the number of negative posts and comments significantly outweighs the positive, presenting a distorted view of reality. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Negativity_bias)

At 5,000 miles in 5 months I've had a great experience with my truck. There have been a few minor things that were negative but they're nothing compared to the many positives I've enjoyed.

Some of the negative threads have a silver lining, of course. Those are the ones that present learning opportunities. The power efficiency numbers TechDoc reported in this thread can be contrasted with the thread's commenters reporting much high Wh/mi numbers. Upon reading the comments, the lesson is clear - drive just a little slower (and don't make significant changes to tires or aerodynamics) and you'll see greater range.

I am in NH. My AWD FS CT with AS tires has 3,300 miles in 50 days. At least 80% highway at mostly 65-68 MPH, with occasional 70-85MPH. The temperature here has been similar to IL: 40-85 F. My lifetime average energy is 338 Wh/mi. I believe the difference between your 357 Wh/mi and my 338 Wh/mi is due to AT tires vs. AS tires. My number will be even better if I do more non-highway driving.

I agree on tires and Hwy vs local. Weather will have a large impact here in IL as well. But as long as I do close to 400 Wh/mi, I will be happy. Key on the HWY is sticking to 65 MPH.

At 15k how are the tires holding out? Reading one post where a Beast owner said his tires were shot at circa 7k.

they are holding out just fine as of right now. I would say another 10k miles and should be swapping them out.

I have had my NFS version since 11 Oct and I have 1400 miles and so far avg is 347kWh which calculated = 354.4 miles range on Full charge. Way better than the advertised 320. I have AT tires as well. and drive city and Hwy miles each day 100/ day most times. average high speed is 65mph.
This CT is absolutely great. The ride is as smoother and quieter than my E300 Mercedes.

those are great numbers. Your commute sounds very similar to mine. I have had many luxury cars, I can def say this truck has been very solid and ride is so smooth.

I am also not hearing any creaks or unwanted noise inside the CT. Not sure what others are complaining about. I am going to take a trip from San Antonio to Nashville around Thanksgiving time. I am hoping that the drives proves to be a good one and I will get a chance to checkout super chargers along the way and see how long each takes to charge up.. Never really went far in my M3 the last 4 years. This will be a first for an EV vehicle trip.

Update 2500 miles now and avg is 341Kh/m. Getting 360 for 100% if battery is still 123KW. I drive 60/40 Hwy/City. 100 miles a day and have AS tires.

Thank you for sharing the stats! How bad does it get if going 70~75 mph?
