I wonder what an economic analysis would show if you knew the odds of the PCS failing after 50K. It might be cheaper to trade in 24 or 25 model for a used 26 than take the risk on the expensive components failing. I'll probably hit 50K in about a year and a half. There should be some discounted 26's by then. Of course, if it fails before 50K problem solved. ;)

Is it bad that I love this truck so much that I'd rather fix it and cut off my right pinky than get rid of it?🤔

not sure I understand the question, but I am one

2025 Sept Delivery/July Build, PCS failed, warranty covered, have PCS-...-G rev part
working perfectly AC and DC charging at max

A lot of times the upgraded part is a lot different and I’d like to see pictures of the old PCS unit and the new replacement part

we are talking about outside the basic 50K warranty, covered, but the new High Value warranty for 2026+ has the PCS
therefore if you are 2025- CT and out of the basic 50K warranty, you are SOL
thats the complaint

we need the 2024 and 2025 CTs added to the high value warranty period
covering the PCS to 70K
Hear! Hear!

Push that button tesla

I'm glad i'm mostly low mileage sitting at ~8-9k after a little over a year... but the fact that the PCS could fail mid road trip (regardless if its covered or not) is definitely concerning.

Are they just proactively replacing these parts now? I scheduled follow up service after they replaced the cant rails last month because they misaligned the new ones. They automatically tacked on PCS2 replacement. They gave me a loaner (Cybertruck) in the meantime, but subsequently said they have to order the part for service they originally scheduled proactively? And to keep the loaner in the meantime? No answers as to why this was scheduled. I assumed a recall, but it sounds like not the case?
Going to get more info tomorrow. (AWD Cybertruck picked up early June of 2024; 37,000+ miles).

Where is your cybertruck in terms of production? My AWD foundation is around 37000 on the production line. I’m hitting the end of my basic warranty and would love to get the PCS replaced with the revision if it’s possible.

You mean the ones used in the current truck that people are talking about? -g?
I’m not understanding why they flagged mine for replacement if they;re not replacing everybodys. I haven’t seen an error related to this at all.

Yeah. That’s why I have some hope. Likely false hope, haha.

But I’m wondering if the PCS failures are getting some attention and traction for the early CT’s and maybe Tesla is just being proactive like they were with the faulty early wiring harnesses and front drive units.
