For those of you who won't (or can't) park inside, what are your plans for charging? I would be concerned about vandalism on a home charger installed on the exterior. Thoughts?
So like all the reported vandalism on superchargers?

Do you get much vandalism on your exterior power outlets / air source heat exchange / exterior water faucets / sprinkler systems / garden / exterior paint job?

Seems like if you have a vandalism problem, the vandalism will continue no matter what you do with the charger. If there isn't currently a vandalism problem, what about an exterior charger will invite some new vandalism?

Don’t want to park outside in Arizona sun?
Yes, I live in Mesa AZ and can assure you that the highly tinted windows on my MY still allow lots of heat. Whenever my wife and I go out we try to park in what we jokingly call "Arizona shade" which is typically a small desert tree with tiny leaves that maybe will shade a small part of the cab. It will probably be useful to cover the CT with a thermal tarp.

Maybe it's just me, but If I were that concerned about vandalism at my home, I would be prioritizing a move over a new CT purchase.

Does it come with grandma in the back?
This was my childhood ride. Yes, in '72 we did travel from NY to AZ to visit my grandparents and then on to wallyworld...err Disneyland when I was 12.

Consider Optimus, the defender series.

Maybe I am just being overly cautious. Too many reports of backlash against EV's in general, and Tesla's in particular.

Now if we could just get verification that the CT will fit in a standard garage...

Mine has been installed on an exterior wall, in full view of passersby, for 7 years without any vandalism (aside from my wife driving over the cord she doesn't coil correctly ?)

Hell, I don't want to have to deal with Arizona sun for my own sake! Give me shade from the Arizona sun and I'm still sweating like a pig! Many garages get even hotter than the ambient temps. I would never live somewhere that the garage required air conditioning.

But the photo was taken in San Francisco.

I live in west Texas at 4000 elevation, my garage with insulated doors gets smoking hot; up to 100 degrees in the summer, even worst, when I'm charging my EVs (up to 128 deg). I ended up installing a 1 ton AC just to keep things from combusting ?

Dang man,

I turn the AC on when it hits 72! Actually, I’ve been to NASA’s hangar there in El Paso, and flown into and out of almost all the TX and AZ airports. Not fond of the heat…

You still have a ways to go before you get to 451F. But maybe, if you are storing gas or other volatiles then combusting might become a danger if you have some vapors released in the enclosed garage.

Is it just me or does the finish on the recovery hooks not match?

The comments about the hood not being as polished is probably for reflections That could blind the driver and or it may blind some of the cameras/sensors. (Just guessing here)
