I did stupid things as a teenager and got caught a few times. Like you I paid my price and learned. It is the only way. I am in favor of kids learning how the world works, and I am not in favor of them being bailed out by their parents or anyone else.I called the State of Kansas dealer licensing office and they gave me the dealership’s name and address. It’s a small used lot in not so great part of town.
I filed a police report, not because I want these kids put in jail or I was scare for my life but to protect them from someone else reacting a little more extreme than me.
Although it was just a plastic or gel pellet it could still put an eye out or cause a crash if they hit someone with their window down.
I did plenty of stupid things in my life and learned the hard way. More concerned about the behavior turning into something more serious down the road.
I enjoy sharing the truck with people I meet and especially the kids who get so excited to see one in person. Just hope we don’t see more stupid actions like this from kids trying to get attention on social media.
Its kind of like side shows. I am not against them as long as they are in a sanctioned place. We did a lot of donuts in parking lots when I was young. As far as I know no one complained because it was always quite a distance from residential or business properties and there were no crowds, fireworks, lasers, etc. Let kids do stupid things in places where they either cannot be hurt or can only hurt each other, and hammer them if they go outside those areas.
