I think it is possible the doors only were shot up because they're just the simplest, largest target. The QPs are broken up a lot more with wheel well and fender.
I think that as well. Also the easiest to repair when you're tired of the dents.

Sad to hear of your loss, with thoughts and consideration. The scope of possible reasons go beyond what is allowed to be discussed here in detail, but briefly humans and healthy cultural values are being eroded.

Thanks for sharing.

Conspiracy: An employee was sent out with a punch and hammer and told to make “bullet“ dents.

2 months later, we see a picture that does not contain a full drum load of dents. Count them, obviously fake. Cancel your orders.

Actually it's more than a full load, as there were 50 and 100 capacity drums available. The dents number a few over 50 but it's plausible he used a little more than one drum but just kept his statement simple to express (at least) one drum. Elon has been known to 'sandbag' or 'under-promise and over-deliver'. That's because those anti-Tesla or whatever are always trying to split or debunk his words. Key thing to note here too, is that no one's going to be able to 'punch' dents that consistent in depth and appearance by hand, and most experts on the subject will verify those dents were made by .45 caliber ACP projectiles.

But this could be just some cool sarcasm going right over my head again, so if that's it I'm now caught up! ?

That is awful. I have lived in circumstances that could put me in your brother’s shoes easily. Pure luck, I am still on this side of the ground. I know in my area, people are stupid enough to shoot at a CT for fun. But let’s keep our fingers crossed this will not make the owners subject of target practice.

A quick count, 74 dents. Cannot be a 50 since there are more dents and not a full 100 if a single ‘full’ drum was used. Unless they missed a few times, very possible. Does not appear to be full auto. The grouping does not appear so but, not conclusive with just the photo.

yes to sarcasm. Cool is in the eye of the reader. I do not think this was faked.

imagining someone attempting to replicate the uniform dents by hand is comical to me.

Given some thought, when picking up CTs, people will test their builds with .45s instead of sledge (dead blow) hammers.

I'll be satisfied with Elon's and Franz's tests. Don't want to pay for replacing my doors right at delivery.

I will almost accept any issue and get the issues fixed at a Tesla center versus waiting on a different build.

I have zero leverage going into this transaction, this is not the typical negotiation position I enter transactions. However, I will get another Tesla pen.

@greggertrucksays someone on Twitter claimed there are 75rd drums for a Thompson. I couldn’t find one, but only a quick google

regardless, the rounds sent at the cybertruck were not the only rounds sent that day

I do know for a fact that this CT was not the only vehicle that got sprayed that day at GFTX … the other vehicle didn’t fare as well (as expected) Sponsored

My understanding with the 100 round drums, besides being highly regulated, are not filled to max capacity due to long term performance reliability. Please do not quote me, pulled from unreliable memories.
