Ken is always good for some succinct wisdom.
I will say, this is not what you asked about but my wife’s model x six seater is the best family car we have ever owned hands down and it gets way less attention. It’s what we use when we want to go downtown more “incognito”.
The ability to control every single door from the screen and the falconwing doors as an adjunct to help with car seats are downright magical.

We have had our Cybertruck since end of June - the only negative things: a couple of old guys shaking their heads and 1 person flipped me off as I was passing... lol The positive attention has been phenomenal! Kids wave everywhere we go! We watch the security footage every time we go somewhere and it's mostly selfies and people in awe checking it out. We live in rural northern Illinois and there have been some people who had never even heard of it and thought it was a "space vehicle" lol. We love talking about it and the attention is welcome.

a few thumbs down or a finger here and there are all it is anymore - all the wild stuff died down months ago in my experience (driven 28k miles through Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, DC, West Virginia, Mass, NJ, DE, NY, VT, NH, ME, RI, CT)

I've never had anyone actually come up to me and say anything negative. All in-person interactions have all been positive or pure curiosity.

Then again.. I'm also 6'5" and in pretty good shape... so maybe there's something there? Dunno..

Mom here of two very active boys! Our Cybertruck is my daily driver and I received a couple of birds a few months ago but that is it. Almost all interactions from people have been positive and it has honestly turned out to be a great family vehicle.

Buy it! Your family will love it! I am still looking for excuses to drive it (or have it drive me) everyday. If you do encounter any bs use it as a teachable to your kids on how unbelievable it is that people can be so weak & emotional over a strangers vehicle.

My kids haven’t noticed the zombies at all. I think because they can’t fathom a reason why anyone would be mean so they’re not looking for it. They certainly see the thumbs up and positive reactions / questions in parking lots etc.

Good evening,

I've been going back and forth for almost a year with the purchase of the Cybertruck, as proven by my post history. I have test drove many other trucks and always come back to the cybertruck. My previous truck was a 2016 ram rebel and I loved that truck but do not like the new style and the high price of the new rams.

The cybertruck now checks all the boxes for features and is within budget with the latest incentives.

With a family, my biggest concern is negative attention/public harassment.. How has it been lately? I'll have 3 car seats in it and just want to avoid most of the crazies and enjoy the truck. The rear screen will be a big bonus for us as well.

Just curious if any members have any family experiences and/or tips with the cybertruck.

Thank you!
My kids and I love the truck and that matters. Yes, there is hatred out there but has since calmed down. Reality is, some are still amazed by this things, and others hate the design.

Seriously depends on where you live. My kids love it but they are aware of the possible upset people. But I think the biggest thing that determines the response is dependent and where you live rural vs metropolitan; north south; etc… I live in Pennsylvania and get at least one or two middle fingers or thumbs down a day. My older son can now sit in the front seat and I worry he will have to see these so I often don’t let him sit up there with me. I still love the truck… but at least the gate has died down a little bit.

I've had mine for 3 weeks. I got aggressively flipped off by a crazy person 4 minutes after leaving the dealership with it. My kids weren't with me.

In the three weeks since then? Nothing. I've had people ask to look at it and kids seem to love it.
