Cybertruck rear bumper replacement cost?

Hey everyone,

I just wanted to share that after the new software update, I noticed my wheel's turning felt a lot sharper. Unfortunately, I had a little mishap pulling out of parallel parking - the passenger rear panel and bumper grazed a building column. The side panel wrap got scraped, but the bottom seems fine. The bumper, being hollow plastic, is more fragile.

By the way, I thought I'd check here to see if anyone knows the cost of replacing the rear bumper with a Tesla?

Sorry to see this. This kind of thing makes me drive super cautious. I’m still not totally comfortable when making a right tun into traffic. I find it very difficult to park properly aligned in some parking spots. My son’s Denali shows amazing overhead graphics with bumper lines showing clearances when parking. I'm sure Tesla will improve the camera graphics when parking eventually, and hope that happens soon.

Still extremely disappointed this truck didn’t come with a parking sensor system at delivery. It’s ridiculous. My wife won’t drive it. ??‍

That stinks. You are not the first and won't be the last. There are many new CT owners who not accustom to driving full size pickup trucks. Rear wheel steering is great, but it doesn't completely erase the need for allowing more space for maneuving such a large vehicle.

I think based on this thread below it was about $650 for bumper replacement.

My understanding is that you can buy the rear bumper fascia (part #1896371-00-A) over the counter from Tesla.

Yeah,
I got quoted $650 for mine. Less than I thought it would be. But still an ouch! Camera’s while backing in to tight places are very different. (But I still love it.)

Fro sure bruh. Just me 18. Just graduated highschool from this awesome private school. See above. Going to college now. Parents bought me a CT.

Really one should be careful when one drives. I have driven well over a million miles. Gotta look out for the small stuff as well as the big. When you go fast, and when you go slow.

Back on topic. Not bad for the replacement cost for the people that make mistakes.

I hope one has a better day, and feels really good about what one said. Like get it all out brother.
